Birmingham City recycling centre trying to book an appointment

I tried to ring Birmingham Shity council recycling centre to throw away some wood cupboards from my old kitchen, because you can’t just turn up, you have to arrange an appointment. Waiting 2 hours on the phone being told my call was important to them, then suddenly the call ends.
Then you wonder why Birmingham has a fly tipping problem!! You can’t even get an appointment to throw away your rubbish legitimately.
What is BCC playing at? Why are we even paying them? This need to be sorted out as I’m getting well annoyed with the rubbish outside my property!
