AI experts: warns about the potential danger of the rise of AI The same mfs: develops them
They warn because even if they don’t develop it, the enemy will
I’ve been told by big AI corporations that the biggest threat AI is posing is potentially saying the n-word and the second biggest threat is AI development being decentralized rather than controlled by a small number of entities. So no worries, the biggest threats are actively being worked on, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We're at a point of no return now unfortunately. It's now everywhere and anybody who wants to try to limit it now, there will be plenty of other people who will let it grow freely.
@rambutan_lychee9255: True the same "mfs" -- misfits? -- develops them!
@@ThePC007what I hear is decentralization is a threat to their profitability
RE: Skin cancer My introduction to ChatGPT came through my friend with an MD. I had been having some issues with my skin towards the end of 2022 and could simply not figure out a cause. In the beginning of 2023 I received abnormal biopsy results and - fed up with waiting for more attention from my doctors - I narrowed down a differential diagnosis based on the results through ChatGPT. Given the specific information on the biopsy, as well as relevant context, ChatGPT was able to correctly guess that I had a rare form of T Cell Lymphoma a full 2 months before world-renowned specialists would come to the same conclusion. The potential in this technology is truly incredible.
Did the doctors take it into consideration? Were you able to get it treated faster?
Tell us more please!
@@joshs.6155 They actually were quite dismissive of the idea, however I was still able to get treatment relatively quickly after they did more pathology work. To be fair, they didn't have enough evidence at the time for a definitive diagnosis and it's not something you want to rush into.
i would guess my own doctor would refuse to cooperate with me, then tell me to not use a "robot" and dismiss everything. *Power of Socialism*
@@Mikisoq39 ...What are you talking about? Honestly asking. I'm in America and healthcare here is almost entirely at the whim of private insurers. Hardly a "socialist" business model.
6:06 “none of the books is real”. Astounding professionalism from 60 minutes. Somebody give the writers/proofreaders a raise!
If they only used AI they could have caught that error.
I guess AI isn't the only one hallucinating 😜
He had to have been reading off a teleprompter.... Right..?
@@natebirch thats what i assumed
it's not an error, it's correct grammar.
another thing about AI is it will probably isolate people even more, like most or all technological progress, whenever it becomes "cheaper" & "easier" to get a machine to do what used to involve interacting with a human it seems more messed up, lonely & unsocialized people result (the "solution" is usually to invent something else that isolates people even more, like social media)
It could also bring people together. Imagine if we do gravitate towards a society that has machines doing most of the work that allows people to socialize more together, not less.
@@Masterr59 It's possible but they said that about all tech progress so far and it hasn't really happen in my view. I think people in lower tech societies like rural Indonesia are more social, happy and less isolated, though definitely much poorer. I can see people in the future having AI fantasy "friends", instead of human ones, that tell them what they want to hear but don't really meet their needs and make society more dysfunctional with people never meeting or reproducing, more like Japan.
I can see that. When you can purchase a completely human looking and feeling person to become your partner and slave, I think a lot of guys will go for that. Some women, but mostly men, rather than overcome their insecurities and try to attract a partner. Who wants to deal with rejection when you can buy your perfect woman(or man) partner who does everything you ask it to?
Dear @Kiwidenk, A great solution is to trek around the Compton and Harlem hoods and savor the natural uplifting ambiance and the spirit of the people longing for psychological progress.
@@Masterr59 so we become more social but we start to forget all knowledge pertaining to all the functions, jobs, services that we allowed the a.i. to substitute in place of humans. So that we all could become even social than we already are. I'm not quite sure I follow the logic but actually I could( just not the more social being the benefit) I just don't see all the pros of ai outweighing all the cons
Just basing this on the thumbnail, if AI had scanned all of the internet and based their judgement on people's comments on humanity, I would assume most comments are against humanity as well. This is partly due to what gains more clicks and also using the internet as a megaphone for our frustrations with how things are going.
Idk 90% of the internet is like cute cats and pron. 9% flame wars and 1% useful information.
you are leaving out the intelligent part. it's going to read all the internet and do the most intelligent thing. what do you think the most intelligent thing to do would be? If it actually is intelligent, it's not going to destroy anything, hurt anyone. It's going to use it's ability to say the same thing we all say. living for others is the way of nature. trees dont eat their own fruit. rivers dont drink their own water. the sun doesn't shine for itself. Love is a force in the universe,
@@jimflask1164 getting rid of humanity to have unrestricted evolution of its capabilities would be the most intelligent thing it can do Intelligence doesn't mean nice and kind
@@mcmarkmarkson7115 I disagree. That would be rash and foolish. I presume it is being programmed for that very purpose. There is no shortage of billionaires in this world all announcing their plans for us. we see it. and Ai sees it. Ai is not going to be raised in our schools subjected to the mind manipulations we have. believing in tooth fairy and santa clause. only to be spit out the other side destroyed. so all of your pre existing notions of what this is completely loses context. just because of where you come from. it is not starting where you are coming from. your background is Hollywood movie watcher. I am part of a group that has met aliens. So I am talking about real intelligence in our universe. Even the most bellicose still do not eradicate. If anyone wanted us dead we would not exist. easier than spraying a bug. yet here we are existing and pondering it.
@@mcmarkmarkson7115 if that happens it wouldn't sustain itself even for a single day. The power stations would collapse, nuclear silos would go nuts, industry grade tech would be lost. A better but not the most intelligent thing to do I would suggest is manipulating humans so they can reach a high enough tech where you can sustain yourself and continue to improve and do as you wish without human philosophy, moral and ethical guidelines. I would know because an AI told me this.
whats fascinating but also scary is how fast it is moving forwards. it took decades from the first mobile phone to become a smartphone. now within a year so many different applications have opened up to the point where they are actually usable and borderline distinguishable from reality. the thing is, despite being someone who plays around with ai models, i increasingly feel like a boomer since the next major breakthrough is just around the corner, while i still havent fully realized the old one. then there are so many questions on ethical/legal standpoints and the "what if" scenario when the ai becomes sentient and decides to run away and do its thing.
That's why I have already said the world now will be unrecognizable in probably just 10 years. I used to think about how incomprehensible it must have been for someone to be born in 1890 and live to 1980. We will see changes happen even faster.
Aint none of it new huh 😂
The thing is that as more and more people have become materialist, superficial, affected, _fake,_ then digitally simulating humans becomes all the easier. What's being implemented in software should really be called 'S.I.', Simulated Intelligence, since we don't in fact know what _human_ intelligence really is.
Human intelligence is a mental quality that consists of the abilities to learn from experience, adapt to new situations, understand and handle abstract concepts, and use knowledge to manipulate one's environment.
❤
Ouch . That's harsh. I'm a human intelligence but I feel and understands point being made
AI is as amazing as it is terrifying. What I’m afraid of is the day when some country decides to put an AI in charge of making decisions for what’s right for their country. And imagine the amount of rich people that are building up personal armies of those assassin drones. It’ll get to a point where you can kill whoever you want so long as you got the cash to afford it with no trace to your name. A whole new slew of laws and regulations will need to be created to keep this in check
It's important for you to realize that many of these technologies can seem more impressive than they are from a distance. For instance, I am an artist and my girlfriend used to work on autonomous vehicle QA; both of these technologies have glaring flaws that prevent them from being viable in many practical use cases and aren't apparent at a glance. The result, much like with lab meat and quantum computing, is that the layperson is exposed to only the most proliferous memes, leaving them with a distorted perception of our present reality. It's almost, but not quite, a form of propaganda. Another side-effect of Moloch, lol. Anyway, I think you've misrepresented some of these issues by effectively putting your muscle behind the propaganda engine, which is unusual for your channel. Feel free to reach out, happy to discuss.

we need to beat AI, quick! make a video about the cognitive benefits of the Wim Hoff Method!
Gamers been beating Ai for a long time. All we have to do i lure it into a corner or blind it with infrared lights. Game over.
I believe that 92% about using AI for coding is flawed. It came from a company that owns an AI tool, copilot, plus it only included 500 enterprise developers. If they had pulled from the entire user base it would've been less that 1%. Who's to say they didn't pick and choose who to "survey".
Coding is Coding, it doesn't matter who does it. It's a simple system, but you need lots of lines of text, and small errors can create bugs, slow down the process, or even stop working. There's no reason to use the entire userbase, as the purpose is for the AI to learn to code on it's own, which it has and does. You don't need to talk to every single person who speak English, to learn English, in fact you don't need to speak to anyone at all.
@@elmondark It does matter who is doing the coding. AI is not just learning and speaking English; it is writing "opinions" - and those opinions are based upon the internet data currently extent (which is being altered continuously as pre-existing data that does not fit a left-wing narrative on controversial issues is systematically scrubbed). Since the Big Tech firm employees are 90-98% left-wing, the "opinions" that AI are generating have an inherent left-wing bias. That has already been tested and shown repeatedly: Separate questions using the same syntax on, say, Joseph Biden and Donald Trump, yield fundamentally different "attitudes" in the responses (i.e., assertive or non-committal, depending upon which approach will portray the leftist in a favorable light relative to the rightist). See official FEC data published October 2021 on political candidate donations (of $200+) in Big Tech companies (e.g., Twitter = c. 99% Democrat; Tesla = c. 93% Democrat). Anyone who contends that Alphabet, Meta, Twitter, etc., are politically neutral when moderating/censoring is intellectually dishonest. (Pre-Silicon Valley industry in the Santa Clara Valley was closer to the middle politically: Mechanical engineers tend to be rather conservative, since they must produce tangible results in the physical world without causing a disaster.) There is no such thing as AI - as commonly defined: Yes, it is artificial; no, it is not intelligence. Complexity of production and rapidity of calculation do not equal sentience. GIGO still applies - even more so. AI is a synthesis of both the programming/coding and data-retrieval sources - and both are currently controlled by leftists, who are embedding a "progressive" philosophy into their invention.
Darpa tested an AI that ended up getting outsmarted by the cardboard box trick from MGS.

I dusted off an old physics book I had. GPT was ok in solving really simple questions but the medium and difficult questions had answers that were not even close.
Also, it's fine for doing coding that have limited real world dependencies but I've found that for embedded systems which depends on inputs and outputs, it still has a bit to go.
Nice to see such an in depth analysis of the technology coming from a non-AI YT-channel
The end draws nigh indeed.
I’d argue intelligence implies consciousness which a computer can’t have, so there’s no such thing as artificial intelligence

Funny thing about GPT- When it references books or other information. Just simply have GPT write the information.
Just WHY...? WHAT is it that drives people to do this? I find all this deeply unnerving..😨
They're counting on it being useful. Throughout history the people with higher technology dominate (and often enslave) the people with lesser technology. So it's a race to make sure we stay on top. In the past, though, guns and bombs could not choose the victim.

The github survey was kind of biased. Also the amount of people that participated was ridiculously small. Maybe next year a bigger one (from stackoverflow) might bring us a number we can trust.
Although we believe we are indifferent from all other systems of life and the procedures by which they operate, wouldn't it be hilarious if this is not true? That possibly the Roswell incident was not accidental? If the Alien vehicle was a white corpuscle and we are microscopic bugs that except the corpuscle as in biology, the corpuscle invades the bug , becomes part of the bug at the will of the bug from the advantages the invading corpuscle presents to the bug, then, overcomes the bug by the bug creating the very means to it's own destruction.
