well in ww1 the trench fights was whit pistols, knives, swords and other mele weapons because was in a too close space to move whit rifles and machine guns, so it's pretty accurate to bring this weapons to a fight during ww1.

I love how they’re trying to be historically accurate paired with fiction, its like Assassin’s creed.
Black people have been in Britain since Medieval times, but more common place in the 1800s. During WW1 there was a black community in London.
I can tell you right now that it won't be historically accurate. I can tell one character is supposed to be Rasputin and like all other western depictions of him, will be only influenced by communist propaganda used against him.

@@tannewton they were accepted earlier in Europe. Slavery was abolished earlier in the uk , racism was still a thing but it was a lot less than in the US . It was still hard to reach a reputable position but it was possible.

The best part of Matthew Vaughn’s movies are the extremely well choreographed fight sequences. Take for example the church sequence in the first Kingsman. I got to say it was so brutal and enticing to watch.
This series is the best way for english actors to feel like anime characters.

Finally saw this movie in theaters two years later! Just came back to say it was awesome. Grittier, but on par with the original on every other level. Really hope they follow this one up with a sequel and we get two different Kingsman trilogies.

I just saw it today. I thought the gross out humour was a bit on the cringe side and didn't really mesh well with the rest of the film. From the No Man's Land scene onwards I found the film great.
Hold up that's the assassination of Franz Ferdinand at 1:24 which is what started the war. You can tell due to the soldiers in the car having an Austria Hungary outfit and Sophie seated next to him. Also that is what happened exactly as a member of the Black Hand Gang threw a bomb at the car, missed and it hit the car behind. Great use of history in the trailer I love it!!!

very very unlikely mainly because its set in ww1 which is 1914-1918 and the first kingsman movie is set around 2013-2015 which would mean he wouldn't have been born and if he was he would have been 101 in the first movie which isn't the case he is around 50-70 in the first movie

No Aaron Taylor Johnson’s character is Eggsy’s great grandfather and even then he’s probably gonna be some British soldier who gets roped into it which is why Harry targeted Eggsy’s dad and Eggsy

These movies are so cool. Like they have this fantasy layer so obvious that’s its almost a parody. And the way they always stick it to James Bond movies. Love this. I really hope they make more. They always make such easy to follow and fun fight scenes
I hope all the projects they want to do get made. This is the prequel and then Kingsman 3 will be along to wrap up eggsy and Harry’s story and then we might get the statesman movie and the 8 hour tv series.

I don’t hate it.... well except the end but now we’ve got 1917 coming up we had trench 11 a horror film I’ve yet to see and and another adaption of all quiet on the western front I hope turns out well and now The Kingsman now we just need a film of Winston Churchill’s time as lord of the admiralty and dishonor and then to the trenches and I’ll be a wee happy boi

@@codybrox4693 We've had plenty of good WW1 action films, like Wings, Beneath Hill 60, Blue Max, The Lighthorsemen, Lost Battalion etc. But not many closely released bombastic action WW1 films. I think Wonder Woman might have really started something there.

Ralph really enjoys spy movies and I was delighted to see him show up for this gig. I think he'll be terrific as a sort of pre-Colin Firth character.
Funny you mention that considering during the parachute line, all I could think of was imagining his character in GBH coming out with a similar plan of escape utilising the parachute.

@@ake9305 the tsars wife ffs. Before 1917 Russia had a monarchy which was ruled by a tsar(emperor) and the tsars wife was called a tsarina (empress). If you want to know more just Google tsar nicholas the 2nd , his wife and rasputin.

I think Rasputin is not the only main villain. Since the movie is placed in WWI, there are other villains besides Rasputin depending of the country. Rasputin can be the Russian villain, Daniel Bruhl's character can be the German villain and perhaps can be an English villain and an American villain since according to the movie's synopsis they are tyrants who want to use the war to make millions.
