  • Early June, 1967, I was with an A-4 Skyhawk Squadron, based in California. We got word that the Israeli's and Arabs were at it again, and we were to immediately pack up for deployment to the eastern Med. By the time we got our stuff packed up (takes a lot of tools to maintain jets!), the war was over - and we got a stand down order.

Then with the spread of the Internet and communication sites, the Israelis woke up from a deep slumber. Then they remembered and said we won. This is ridiculous.😂😂.

  • You have to remember this is only a part of the story... At the same time, we were attacked by Jordan and Syria... We fought a 3 front war and though vastly outnumbered defeated each attacker with the same skill and decisive precision... We took Jerusilum, as well as the Golan Heights in this same war... We would much later in the October war 6 years later face the same attacks and come out victorious once again... We did return the Sinei to Egypt in exchange for a peace treaty, but not so for the Golan Heights and Syria... We also have a peace treaty with Jordan but maintain full control of Jerousilum for the Jewish people, and all people...

  • Wow, what an amazing feat. I didn’t understand what the vanguard commander meant by going from tank to tank as he was hit. 7:43. He actually got into another tank coming behind him, under fire? Wow. From the enactment, it appears that he is alone. 8:04. Tank warfare is ferocious, not only tank to tank and of course structures, but precarious to the crews inside. The later descriptions of men emptying from their tanks like human torches was horrible. Speed and surprise, the ingenuity and skill of the crew must have been shocking to the enemy. The later statement that the Egyptian force stayed together and fought longer than others as a unit, even under dire circumstance, was very telling of them as well. Strategically brilliant, astonishing. Bravo, Israel! I also wanted to comment on the Israeli military giving water to those who surrendered. 14:05 “The quality of mercy is mightiest in the mightiest.” (Herman Wouk, a Jewish author and screenwriter, from his book and screenplay, The Winds Of War, where Pug quotes Shakespeare to FDR) Mercy and mighty fit very well here. Bravo, Israel. Bravo, Israel!!! I find it fitting and amusing that all this was accomplished in one week. Six days to work, and rest on the seventh. Highly interesting how it worked out. Very interesting indeed.

So we armed the jews to the teeth and told them to take and hold their promised land. Nothing better than using some idiot religious zealots to do the fighting for you. And if you really like the whole god story, you should see that this is a war between two brothers who believe in the same god, but just have the details different. I am not religious, but i clearly see, the Christians, the Jews and Muslims believe in 90% the same story. Its just that one of them thinks jezus is the son of god, another group thinks he was a lesser prophet, Muhammad being the most important prophet, the third group not putting to much weight to the whole prophet thing. But besides that, the books contain exactly the same stories to the degree that you can just consider them different translations of the same book. • God formed the nation of Israel through father Abraham the purpose was for the coming saviour of the world Jesus Christ. Because Jesus came to fulfil a spiritual redemption for mankind first, they missed that he was the Messiah as they were looking for a King to redeem them in the physical world. This will happen when Jesus comes back to earth, he will save Israel from their enemies.

  • The guy say lt was mistake to think the Egyptian don't know how to fight, but the fact they lost ( even with the superior niumbers and help from other countries) Shows that they can't fight at all, their soldiers were brave and went at it with the Israelis but bravery and equipment alone don't won wars is not their troops fault they did their duty at the end is the leadership that cant plan so they can't fight!

    • @Raymond Lopez Absolutely right. More wars are lost through underestimating the enemy than any other reason. The problem is that arrogance and conceit clouds their judgement.

    • I think it show how much the Arabs would rather stay home, live their lives with their families and have dreams/ambitions rather than give themselves up for some phony religious belief. The Arabs continue to be lead by a nose ring by authoritarian leaders who refuse to leave their fancy houses. You wont see Assad ever unwilling to sacrifice someone else.
