I build a proper bushcraft survival shelter quite near to where I live. I got permission to use limited materials for the shelter.

  • Hello! This is one of my slightly more "permanent" bushcraft builds. I got permission from the landowner to use limited materials. I'm looking forward to one day owning my own forest so I can go bushcraft freely and build a few cabins :) Make sure to subscribe for more, it also helps the channel grow! tinyurl.com/w657ukmb

  • Probably should not say this but i can't help myself...More than Viking, You Look just like one of the Elves that still live in the forests in Finland. My dad's dad was Scot/Welsh/Danish..he spoke all their languages fluently & told fantastic wonderful tales of each land...Of the Olden days, before everything was lost. My granma was Blackfoot. So..ya...this wild life is in our Blood & every cell of our bodies. Carry On!

  • Thanks for the video, If you had a wedge (or made a wooden one) you could split those big logs in half and double the amount of wood you have, and you could also have a flat floor.

    @AwakeLazarus@AwakeLazarus2 жыл бұрын
    • Yes thats a good idea. Also works with just a splitting axe if the wood is straight

      @AgeofTheNorth@AgeofTheNorth2 жыл бұрын
    • The problem with a wedge is that you need much smaller pieces and none of that wood is necessarily straight but wedges can be lifesavers

      @konnerg568@konnerg5682 жыл бұрын
    • @@konnerg568 use multiple wedges...5 or more, evenly spaced...even stone wedges would do if like granite..there are likely perfect ones laying around, half hidden..one has only to look for them

Tbh that's the sort of crappy brush and timber you'd probably have near to me if you were to have to camp out over night in am emergency, so probably be tough to get a shelter up in one night but looked warm considering the conditions and open fronted shelter really came together at the end.. lot of axe work. Cheers from London 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
