arguably the best qualifier on the grid, it would be very interesting to see him compete with max on all the qualis, races and championship if he gets to learn the merc the way he learned williams and then there's also lewis who wouldn't back off, so it could be 2016 all over again, but with max in the mix, possibly even perez norris and some other drivers. its gonna be new regulations and cars, so the grid might get scrambled up a bit

I'd say this format suits Ricciardo better as it relies more on raw pace, and as a newcomer, he doesn't know how to set the car up quite right yet. Norris doesn't have enough time to find his perfect setup, so it's super close and I'm super happy.

The answer is NO. So, what Leclerc did in Silverstone is HIS EFFORT, his skill. Because in paper, Ferrari will fail in French, Silverstone and Japan GP where High speed corner and straight exist. When you see Lewis shaking with emotion, losing voice, and Bono screaming like there's no tomorrow, you realise how much this means to them. I got goosebumps when Russel P7 in Q2. What a talent.
Hamilton on pole. Ricciardo finding his groove. Russel and the Williams starting on 8th. Seb squeezing himself in to Q3. Man, a great weekend is surely comin' up. May this be as exciting as the Azerbaijan!
This has been one of the most intense qualifying sessions of the season. Can't wait to see this race. Lewis is definitely hungry for a home victory, but we'll see if Max has anything to say about it when it's go-time.
I don't think Lewis is going to yield to Max's usual push the driver off track.

One of the most intense qualifying sessions that doesn't set the grid. For me, the jury is still out in how I feel about this format. ie: If Lewis Doesn't get pole because a backmarker crashes into him. That will kind of ruin the idea of Qualifying.

I feel like I’m the only one who kind of wants Russell to stay at Williams. They’re undoubtably on an upward trajectory and I think it would be beyond amazing to see Russell carry them out of this slump

I was thinking the same thing, but at his age and with the potential. It's best to go to mercedes and in 2 years time if Williams is fighting for titles, go back. He will not leave Williams with an bad relationship
Max is really pushing Lewis & Merc this season, so excited to see the race this weekend
Rb and Ferrari have done that all along. Nothing has changed in that respect. It’s just that Mercedes were miles ahead and have been pegged back this season as toto stated. That’s part of rb pace this season favouring the designs of high rake cars and Ferrari’s pace was uncovered and recovered leaving a weak car playing catch up.
