Even as a non schalke fan, this just hurts to watch
Yes
InstaBlaster.
Feels like a movie where the bad guys win
Sam_Glover No team did evil, this could be related to a reality show
Sad ending for Schalke, and miracle ending for Bayern, they won UCL on dramatic fashion too that year, cmiiw
Avengers: Infinity War.
You dont see those very often tho
Gotta hate on Bayern, right? :)
This is brutal to watch...
IsaksIsak super brutal
This must be the absolute worst scenario as for a football fan.
Niels Meijer absolutely, thankfully I wasn’t alive back then but the pain would have been insane
The fact that 3 90th minute moments combined just barely toppled schalke over, and they also won both fixtures against bayern
@@jacobsun1564 What's funny Hamburg's goal also came in the 90th minute.
Back when Hamburg was the second biggest club after bayern.
@Elijah Edric Guinto exactly
Hamburg is now at he final 8 of the DFB Pokal, I hope they can progress to the next round but it will be difficult
+George Denis No they weren't. They placed mid-table for years duringg that time, except 2000 when they were third. Stop creating false nostalgia. Hamburg were definitely better than now, but the bestt teams in the late 90s and early 00s were Bayern, Bayer 04 and Dortmund
@@KIngOfworld I don't mean the best , but the biggest brand name. At least for us Greece the big derby was Bayern vs Hamburg for more than 20 years from late 70s to early 00s.
@@GeorgeDenis. Definitely in the late 70s and early 80s, but Hamburg declined after that. As for brand name, yes, they were probably the biggest along with Bayern and Bremen
Honestly, this edges out Man City-QPR moment, just because of the brutality. Just imagine thinking you've won it all, but in the end, it ends the worst possible way
Manchester United came from several PL titles, Schalke this would only be his first of the bundesliga era
The times when Dortmund were happy with Bayern's victories
Special G As A BVB Fan I Can’t Agree More
L' anno dopo mezzo rubaste al Leverkusen. XD
YAAAAA , It's Rewind tiiiiime.
Thatz hot thatz hot
I want fortnite and Mark ass brownlee
That made me laugh lol
Damn such a historic moment in Bundesliga history
This was great. Pleace make more of those Bundesliga history clips!
*please
The cruelest part about all of this was, that some TV guy was like "yh game is over in Hamburg" to Schalke players at some point. I will always contest that the game in Hamburg SHOULD have been over with Barbarez goal. Back then adding injury times wasn't much of a thing in Germany and the only reason to do add any in that match was Bayern playing for the draw the whole second half. wasting time at every chance. But Bayern also scored a goal much earlier that incorrectly was called back for offsides so I guess it cancells out. In the end Schalke lost the title in the weeks before this game, when they played scared and lost points they didn't need to. Depending on HSV to save your ass is never a good idea.
And Dortmund does the same lmao
Such a shame for dortmund 😢
watching this idk if that was a fair backpass call anyways
Can't believe this just (kinda) happened again... this time to their rivals Dortmund.
What a heartbreak for Schalke..
I'm not even a Schalke fan but that made me heartbroken.
For Schalke was lights out even though was played during the day. Jokes aside, that got to hurt a lot and If I'm not mistaken, Bayer Leverkusen lost the title in the final day of the 2001-2002 season even though they were 5 points clear of Dortmund with 3 games left to play.
Yep, they messed up the treble, loosing UCL Final, Cup Final, and league. Ah ,good old Neverkusen
@@KIngOfworld You made me laugh with your "Ah, good old Neverkusen".
@@romelnegut2005 To Be Fair we did it too in 2012
@@KIngOfworld How close it was?
@@romelnegut2005 We lost UCL Final on penalties when Chelsea scored in last minute. We lost against Dortmund on one of the last match days in the league when Robben missed a penalty. Humiliated in the Cup Final 5-2
This has to be one of your best videos to date, loved how it all looked and the way you told it was top notch
Agreed. The editing and storytelling are top notch.
bundesliga is such an underrated youtuber
Thousands of people cried probably in that stadium.
Am here after Dortmund bottled it
Better than KZhead Rewind!
Muhtashim Khan isn’t anything better than YT rewind?
That could be mistaken for an insult.
Wow! And now something similar happened in Bundesliga 2 where Hamburg fans were celebrating thinking they got promoted, only to find out a few minutes later that Heidenheim has scored in the last minute! It will be even more dramatic if Hamburg fails to win the playoff aganst Stuttgart.
Imagine that feeling, you would feel like u were literally dying
That hurts man .. feeling so sad for Schalke
I love how after the clip suddenly Marco Reus of all people appears with a happy "Hey guys!" followed by Pavard "Did you like that?!"
I'm sorry but this is 10 times better than the Aggguuueeerrrroooooo moment from drama....
Today in 2021 the Royal Blues are rotting in Bundesliga 2 after a catastrophic 2020-21 season where they finished last with 16 points. I am Belgian and I knew Schalke 04 through Marc Wilmots and Sven Vermant who played in this club, I played at Fifa 2005 at the time when Kevin Kuranye was one of the best players in the game, there was the beautiful 2010-11 season where the club was in the semi-finals of the Champions League by beating Inter Milan, with the revelation of Manuel Nueur with these stratospheric saves against Manchester United .... A very good club in the German top 5 in the years 2000 and 2010 who could have been champion in 2007 instead of Stuttgart, other players come from this club like Mesut Özil, Leon Goretzka, Leroy Sané, Max Meyer, Draxler that they ended up selling them all where to let them go free. A popular club in the heart of Rhur which offered epic derbies with BVB Dortmund, I hope they will quickly return to Bundesliga 1.
That didn't look like an intended backpass. It's a sliding challenge ffs. But I guess on the safe side the keeper should've just punted the ball away.
We need more rewinds like this
and the ball went through an impossible gap in the wall...
That wasn't even a backpass
That was just the worse way to find out you won't be champions.
How did that get given as an indirect free kick?? The defender legit was trying and aiming to slide tackle the ball out of the last attacker's feet and it went to his gk? Schalke got robbed tbf
yeah i feel like that was definetely not an indirect fk
Why didn't you show the scenes at schalke after Bayern scored.?
It was a mass suicide event
Schalke fans will be in tears all over again
"BAYERN WINS AGAAAIN!!"- *on the verge of crying from the tension* HI GUYS DID YOU LIKE THAT
I read the book about fc bayern from uli hesse couple of months ago and even reading about the event sent shivers down my spine
I've been a fan for FCB since 2013 , I witnessed a several championships and goals , but I would exchange all of them to watch that goal and this moment live .. ❤️
We all know that if many Barcelona fans is come from milenials, If you maybe born earlier or oldest you may not become Barca fans. Barca and la liga is biggest thing at least for one decade. before that so many great team, moment happend and Barca is not part of that. Serie A or Bundesliga is biggest thing before Barcelona become role model of football.
@@suryoardi7109 I am of a fan of Bayern Munich both teams are called " FCB "
I wish there were more videos like this.
Just reading about this on BBC & the back pass looks like part of a tackle & possibly should have been play on imho
It gave me chills
That was incredible
And that was Patrik Andersson's only goal for Bayern, he's not even scored his penalty kick in 2001 UCL Final against Valencia 4 days later
Effenberg called up Patrick Anderson to take the shot.
That was never a backpass
Oh man! That was pretty shocking! :(
Winning mentality bayern in bundesliga till injury time is amazing
More bundesliga Rewinds plz
I was in Hamburg that day. As a Bayern fan this nerve wrecking.
The way commentator described S04, has increased my respect towards it more eventhough iam not a fan of S04.
Top quality sides in Bundesliga back then
DEJA VU
I loved this video
Celtic 2005 “Helicopter Sunday” 😩
I remember that historical match ⚽️🏆👍🏻
5:09 The way the guy slides down the seat 😭😭
1:43, that goal is technically offsides I think!
and Schalke has now been relegated to 2.Bundesliga 😬
Amazing
Vry nice video
if schalke and bayern switch...such a great movie
It amazes me that back at the day, 63 points were enough for the title
Great video. Rip Sala
2022/23 the Ruhr doubles
now this i love
im not a shalke fan but this broke my hearrt so unlucky for them
HSV did everything they could to win the title for Schalke. The goal from Barbarez came I think in about the 86th minute.
Sickening!!!
Best title race in my opinion 1) City United 2012 2) Munich Schalke 2001 3) Inter Juventus Roma 2002 4) Barcelona Atletico 2014
Lazio-Juve 2000 also deserves a spot

I’m a BVB fan, and I feel sorry for Schalke.
such a proper ending to the video - a moment of tragic silence as evil bayern again wins
wonderful time❤
Man that's tough to bare.
better then youtube rewind
Marco Reus showing up as the first player on the end card, just rubs salt in the wound lol
one of the most dramatic football seasons ending
im a bayern fan. i feel so sorry for schalke
Thats why dont celebrate until game finished🤧
please , active your subtitles in video :)
That was not a back pass though it was an interception?
Fun fact: This was the only goal Patrik Andersson ever scored in Bayern Munich. Not so fun fact: This was the last day of Parkstadion of Schalke and they moved to Arena AufSchalke next season.
Many years later...
Brillant !
I remember watching this live in Thailand. The most dramatic goal ever scored besides Michael Thomas v Liverpool.
Good Days
Its rewind time everybody
Thumbs up for the drama, thumbs down for the outcome.
Great Story
What a shame for Schalke, if Bayern had a misfortune like Juventus in 2000, Schalke would win the title
When we can vote the Player of the month?
sad moment sad thing....Bundesliga history of Schalke 04
Thats not a backpass and it would be allowed for the gk to catch it in todays rules.
Not sure if that is a backpass at all...
It's absolutely not
@@99ratedplayer that s=si the most ridiculous thing ever, don't be salty. He obviously hit the ball right back at the keeper for him to catch, if that isn't a back pass I don't know what is
That hurt to watch alright.
What a story
Bayern scored after 4:40 sec. And only 2 minuts were given ekstra by the ref. As a Dortmund fan i’m happy. But what a robbery.
Nooooooo I wanted Schalke to win

They already made a vid on this a while ago

Good luck to all bundesliga teams in UCL and the bundesliga admin is the goat 🐐
Damn this moment is similar to the 2013 premier league with man city and man Utd
Yeah, but I think this one is better, it's pure drama
