  • This was the song my wife picked out as our first dance song at our wedding reception. We got married in October 2019… my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in August of 2021. She unfortunately passed in January of 2023. She was 43 years old. I watch this video at least once a month, just to cry and think about her. This song fit our relationship perfectly. 💔😭

  • I lost my girlfriend on the 20th of January by the hand of suicide. She hung herself. I had to cut her down and call EMS, but it was all too late. Her last words to me were "fuck you" because we were in a fight. And now I'm stuck with all the words I still needed and had to say to her. I'm devastated and broken, my faith in God is wavering and I'm losing the will to live, and ten days later I still have difficulty processing that it actually happened. That this is actually my reality now, that this isn't a dream or some kind of "supernatural" wake-up call for me, that I wake up next to her again in a couple of days and finally know how I'm supposed to help her achieve the happiness she never really had in her life. I always took what I had for granted, that what we had was a static variable, that she was part of my life, for the rest of our lives. Technically she was. But I never realized how lucky I was, how much she actually meant for me. Sure, you love her, and she loves you back and you say that every hour or two against eachother and it's all life's good and fine like this. But you never realize how fragile life actually can be. That instead, even though maybe your love is build on rocks, your life is build on sand. The tiniest of waves can disturb it and make you unstable, and the larger ones can totally bring down the foundations where you have built upon all those years. I typed this for some relief on my part, but mostly for all of you guys. Maybe you're in a new relationship, or have been married for a couple of decennia. Maybe you're thankful to your parents for raising you, but never really got to tell them that. Maybe you got someone else in your life who means the world to you. I ask you now to go to that person and just give them a gigantic hug, and tell them how much you care for that person, make them realize how important he/she for you is. Because before you know it, they're gone. And then you have to live on with the precious words you never got the say to them.

It's going to be painful and it's going to be a long and hard grieving process. This will not define you though, you will get past it... you will one day move on and find a new love, and that's ok. Your girlfriend wouldn't have wanted you to be alone. You will see her in other people you meet. You'll hear her in songs you once listened together. You'll smell her on a random weds when you're walking home from the grocery store. Although she isn't here, her legacy is... especially with you. When you do move on... you will learn to love and trust again, with the memory of the woman you held so close. It may seem impossible, and that's ok. It's one day at a time. Don't let go of who you are and continue to honor her in how you carry yourself. I'm really sorry that this happened to you, I've lost some very important people in my life suddenly... it changed my outlook on life completely. When my father passed he told me that "and in the end, the love you take... is equal to the love you make" a quote from the Beatles. It couldn't be any more true. I hope you find Solace in this time of darkness.
