  • I'm from Australia and I have been fortunate enough to have driven through this area on 3 separate occasions. The first time was in 1976 and the last about 10 years ago. It is truly a spectacular landscape and an experience I shall never forget. I do hope to do it again in the future. Stay safe everyone.

  • During my 38 year OTR truck driving career I practically begged to take every load out west...I didn't care...Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah...you name it! There's just something about the desert that draws me to it. You would think with 880 miles from east to west, and, the 950 miles north to south in my home state of Texas that'd be enough. Nope! I've been retired from the trucking industry since February of 2015, and, hopefully, soon, I will return to the road once again! Only, this time I'll be living full time in my Class B Roadtrek 190! No bosses, no schedules, no weight cops, no scales, no log books....just me, my music, the open road, and, the smell of the desert wind in my face! I can't wait to see the things I couldn't before when I was behind the windshield of an 18 wheeler! The road is calling me, and, the road is where I will live until the end my life! Thank you for this wonderful video; it brought back a lot of memories! (7:56pmCST Friday 5/4/2018 Houston, Texas)

  • 1,000 miles from nowhere sounds good. I have travelled this road. At night there are more star's than black sky, and not a sound except for the wind. A moonlit nite is something i will never forget. Peace awaits.

    • Lol. I am not Jim (although I write about FreewayJim Facebook group in my video description). I am simply one of FreewayJim group members. Go and check FreewayJim's KZhead channel too, if you haven't. He is currently in the process of releasing the videos of his epic trip to the northwest.

  • Amazing video!! Thank you so much. If I did not have a mortgage and other bills, I would leave my job right NOW and head down 163-South. And, the music was perfect for this video. Again, thank you from one fellow traveler to obviously another.
