    • They build something that roughly looks like a plane but with no understanding of how a plane works and what makes it fly. This reminds me of the cargo cult that took a similar approach. The one with the collapsed landing gear weighs 800kg. That´s about double the weight of planes of a similar size. And then it has 3 sets of wings. I guess the thought was "more wings make plane fly better". It´s a bit sad that all their effort goes to waste because they´re doomed to fail.

    • @@kishascape For every logical thinking person this is clear. Imagine you want to build an aircraft. The first step would be to learn what makes it fly. Then maybe you apply that knowledge and build a scaled down model and see if your design is any good. If you got something catastrophically wrong, it would show in that phase. But that´s apparently not how it works in Africa. They want to build a plane, so they just start building it without knowing anything about planes except how they look. When the first planes were built many of them looked crazy and didn´t work. The people back then at least had the excuse that humanity didn´t know as much as today and the little knowledge wasn´t easy to get as today. In the age of the internet there is no such excuse, not even in Africa. Maybe they don´t have internet in every village but traveling to the next town to access that knowledge would be much easier than spending months or years to build something without knowing what you need to build.

    • @@NamSaiyan595 Any of us would have been just as brainfried retarded if we had lacked nutrients to the extend that they have during critical development. That's mostly what it is, they were fed so little, that their body simply had to ration nutrients, and it doesn't prioritize the brain, so that means a gross underdevelopment of it. It's like they're 8 years old, not even capable of looking up the most basic info (they do have books, phones and internet), like that guy on his 10th plane build had airfoil shaped plates at the tip of the wings, but the wings themselves weren't airfoils. I can only imagine that even if they were to get proper nutrients, it would take several generations for their other features, like the size of their skull, to adjust to accommodate a larger brain.

From media reports and his twitter page it looks like it's still in use in hospitals. We should always keep in perspective that while a simple man founding a space program sounds ridiculous to us today, that's exactly how our own space programs began to be developed 100 years ago. I do applaud him for being so ambitious, there are literally people alive today who wouldn't be without his invention so props to him. Rip good sir.

Also, most of the early space pioneers were laughed at in the beginning as well, until they produced working rockets when suddenly they were taken very seriously. So laughing at these guys as they're first starting out at least means we're treating them the same as we did for the whites.
