Exactly what is needed to code in yaml.

you do not need quotes around values in a key pair if there is a space
«Vegetable Lasagna» and «Tomato Soap» (or else) do not need quotes. Space is special at the start (till determining context), it is not special after colon or dash.
what are the uses of YAML files??
Mainly configuration files.
