I remember this song ran the whole country in 2016! Apart from rapping in his native tongue Zulu, Maraza incorporated the rarest language ever in a rap song; Fanagalo. Thats a dialect Southern African miners used to speak back in the day. So many things stand out in this. Firstly the meaningful bars (I think that parabellum/cerebellum line is incredible) , the build up bars to the drop of the beat, the catchy hook (which is actually a story -convo between him and his girl) GWAN is a perfect work of art man, it’s a pity that you didn’t get awarded for it that year.
