  • Speaking on the 9:40 ish mark. EGR helps emissions by cooling which reduces NoX gas formation, because NoX cant form below a certain temperature. Also the efficiency gain from leaving exhaust gas in the combustion chamber is because exhaust is inert (it wont react with anything) and basically takes up space without doing anything. So exhaust gas occupies space where fuel/air mixture would normally be. Think of making a mixed drink, with alcohol being the fuel. If you put mixer (exhaust gas) in the cup (combustion chamber) instead of straight alcohol (fuel) you use less alcohol and still fill the cup as intended. With added emissions benefits. Hope that helps, learned about this through reading and college and its simple once you get it but its sort of mind boggling at first 🍻

  • Had 2 of these, 325 and 328. I enjoyed both a lot. Great, great chassis. With minor bolt ons, I was able to embarrass a lot of modern cars on the twisties. Great feedback and the analog feeling of the car just made me not really enjoy modern cars.

  • When I was 15 I started an air con apprenticeship working 12+ hours 6 days a week for $6.19 an hour and saved everything for a year and when I was 16 I bought myself my very first car, a Black 6sp E36 318is M Sport for 17k here in Australia back in 2006! Car was absolutely amazing and handled like a dream, was beautiful and looked identical to a M3 except only had a 1.9L 4 cyl and was so slow I had to update unfortunately. Now I drive my dream car a manual 2005 E46 M3 CS in Interlagos Blue with 350whp! Work hard and dream big kids if I can accomplish my goals then I promise you can too!!
