We began our relationship long distance (Andrea is from Puerto Rico and Lewis is from Ireland) and we currently live on a school bus traveling the USA! This is literally my husband’s dream! We lived in PR for 2.5 years and he was even studying at the UPR. But we just moved back to the states 🥲. Neither of us are boricua so not having family there was hard. But he always talked about getting a finca and being self sufficient. We miss PR, one of our favorite things was to kayak on random rivers that just connect and take you all over the island lol. Congratulations you guys!! 🎉🎉

Definitely wouldn’t put a house that close to water with the hurricanes that often pass by PR, I’m thinking about mudslides with all that heavy, incessant rain. But that’s awesome that the water is nearby! Wherever you decide to put your house though, just don’t forget to think about how you’re going to transport all housing materials to that preferred location. Make sure it’s feasible. Congrats to you both, can’t wait to see the finished homes you’ll have on your land and your crops. 🩷
