  • The sock modeling im dying 😂 i love how excited you are tackling these new hobbies and your mindset to do it for fun snd not to be good! Im not even a professional artist but I definitely understand the appeal of having hobbies veeeery far from drawing so there’s no pressure. This is a unique video idea and im all for it if it helps you! ❤️ Also ACOTAR for LIFE

  • 🤣🤣🤣 "my family gets ugly socks !" Those are life goals, to be able to finish one sock or a set .. for 1 person, but you want to make for your family. I get confused crocheting after some time when I pause cos I dont know how to get back at my creation. Me too am forgetful. I always have unfinished business in crochet. I give up. I think you are brave to continue to crochet. I think that, that one sock is amazing 🥰❤️

  • I’m too dyspraxic to be able to do crochet but cross stitch has the exact same effect on my adhd and anxiety, I start hyper focusing harrrd on whatever I’m making. I love creative outlets where you don’t have to think, I can totally get why so many people love crocheting.

  • I hope you like Dune! It’s a good book in my opinion. It’s one of mine and my husbands favorite series. I haven’t read any more than the first book in the series but it does get a little weird after the third book apparently. But Frank Herbert’s son, Brian Herbert has written a lot of different prequel trilogies so if you end up liking Dune I would check his books out too :).

  • I totally get that whole talk you had about whether or not your burnout is valid. Being in a job that isn't a strict 9-5 or like a really high paying white collar job, it feels weird when you try to bring up how what you do is still hard? A lot of people fail to grasp that yeah we are in positions where we're lucky enough to do something we enjoy, but it's such an inconsistent field where anything could happen and it's all on you or just bad luck LOL But ty for this video because I'm currently struggling making time for myself bc in my head I'm like "well if I have this much free time I should just make stuff for work" when in reality I should be taking the time to put my energy into something for myself ;w; I think I'll start crocheting too bc I've been wanting to do that as well :,)

  • You should definitely NOT reduce the swearing! It is absolutely fine and if people have a problem with it then they can leave. They don't have to stick around. Why should you change yourself for others? Be yourself, be happy to be yourself. Please don't let others dictate who you are. Stay you! 😊

  • As an artist too, I think it's super important to promote having hobbies outside of art. I would even go as far as to say that the further from art it is, the better for your brain it will be because it truly allows you to fully d i s c o n n e c t and god knows we need that now more than ever before. I also have that "brain that never shuts off" thing and I also found that manual work, reading a book or gaming are the best ways to distract your brain long enough to stop the constant loop of overthinking that always goes on in the back of your mind. I really liked this video and I love that you keep showing us more fun sides to yourself and a peek behind the curtain of how it really is to exist as a full-time artist. Like, it's not all hustling, fun is allowed too! Can't wait for the next one! (‘∀’●)♡ PS: I got myself a pickleball paddle and some balls because you made the sport look so fun and inspired me to try it as well. Now I only need to find somewhere to play with my partner. Fit booties gang here we come! :)

    • You’re so right the more different from art it is the better it tends to be for me! And omg I’m so glad you’re trying pickle :) there are usually lots of open public courts around with a “paddle system” so everyone is welcome to play and there’s very little planning involved! Hope you can find a pickle pal soon :)

  • Unpopular opinion but I think burn out should be normalized and ppl should not feel guilty, it’s part of adulting. Acknowledging it and doing something about it, shows a lot of maturity & growth. Yeah the plus is you set your own hours, but the drawback is there is always something that can be done when it’s Your business, especially when you are wearing multiple hats. Have you considered outsourcing or getting an assistant to help? So you can focus on the creative aspect of the small business?
