I can tell you with absolute certainty, cruise ships DO have morgues (I worked as a nurse for years) It’s actually not that weird if you think about it. Cruises are primarily frequented by people who are 55+, not always but often, and if someone dies during the trip, they can’t turn the ship around or call for a heli-vac, so the morgue is the cheapest, logical option. The more you know 😊📚🙌
People are also missing that a COOLER is not a freezer. Anyone who has worked food service knows the difference, but a cooler is not freezing, it's cool enough to store drinks etc. In a morgue, the body is stored well below freezing, below what a walk-in FREEZER for food would be, so that is why it badly decomposed so they couldnt have an open casket. It was also just in a body bag on a pallet!
I quite like this segment. I've heard about most of the stuff in the video but never looked into what was happening because legal stuff is so dry when reported on by traditional media. This is just short and gets to the point.

For those defending the cruise: A cooler is 35F, that is above freezing so that you can store things like cheese and beer and it won't freeze. A body in a morgue is frozen at -14F below freezing. So it decomposed. They lied about how it was being stored. It was also pretty undignified to keep it on a pallet in a body bag. A cruise in this day and age is typically expected to know how to handle a dead body more properly. They could have done any number of things differently, least of all been honest about their inability to properly store it.
everyone deserves a good defense lawyer, but there is something that feels really creepy to me about a lawyer making her living defending rapists (who all have very strong evidence against them) over and over.
Lawyer is one of the top 10 jobs with the highest rate of psychopathy. Psychopaths are attracted to jobs that involve control over others and where empathy is inefficient. It's the same as pedophiles seeking jobs that give them easy access to children. If you're wondering about the top 10 list, here it is: 10. Civil servant 9. Chef 8. Clergy person 7. Police officer 6. Those songs do sound pretty similar. I mean Verve lost a similar suit against The Rolling Stones when their songs sounded nothing alike and Verve had even gotten prior permission to use "melody". On the other other hand Vanilla Ice beat out Queen with a nearly identical song w/ only a single inserted quarter note differentiating them. So in other words the entire law regarding this is already irreparably cluster****ed.

When someone dies at sea, and they aren't given a sea burial, you are supposed to place the body in a freezer. What a stupid lawsuit. PS: The food is moved out of the freezer, and if space doesn't permit, it is used immediately or discarded. Workers don't stroll in to get the frozen ham next to the dead guy, as funny as that might be.
a walk-in freezer is kept at 0 degrees F, a morgue at -14 to -30F. So a walk-in freezer would not be adequate. but this wasn't a freezer, it was a COOLER. That would be 35F. That is not a "freezing" temperature. That is why the body decomposed badly. They also lied to her. And no, it is not typically kept in a COOLER but in a morgue on the ship. I dont see in reports if the drinks were removed, but even if so, a decomposing dead body is not sanitary to keep in a cooler where food will be kept.
