Love, Drugs & Fame | Cobain: Montage Of Heck

From acclaimed director Brett Morgen, "COBAIN: Montage of Heck" is the first fully authorized documentary feature that blends Cobain’s personal archive of art, written word, music (both famous and some never been heard), and candid home movies, with animation and revelatory interviews from his family and closest confidantes. Following Kurt from his earliest years in Aberdeen, WA, through the height of his fame, these compelling and honest accounts create an intense and powerful cinematic insight into an artist who craved the spotlight even as he rejected the trappings of fame. Those of Kurt’s generation will learn things about him they never knew. Those who’ve discovered the man and his music more recently will understand what makes Kurt the lasting icon that he is. Just like the legendary frontman of Nirvana himself, "COBAIN: Montage of Heck" is authentic, visceral and unflinching.

    • If your family member or friend died and you knew it was a staged suicide, would you say 'ah it's just going to hurt people more, let him RIP'. No you wouldn't, unless you have zero backbone. Kurt was murdered 100%.

  • I wish Kurt D. Cobain was still alive being with his precious daughter Frances Bean Cobain. Instead of being in via heaven protecting her from there than from over here on via earth. Why did CLC mistreated him awfully not vice versa. I wish Kristen P. would've hooked up.with him because she was just the.complete total package as a potential mate for him in my rookie fan general/personal opinion.

  • Drugs beat cobain, & not many people try it and wake up not wanting more, the feeling you get from Heroin will change anyone, without a doubt, will single handedly, overtake every aspect of life, from the money, to the house, to the wife, right down to the kid's...... That's the thing that get's people, the curiosity of knowing there's a feeling that pushes people to throw away their whole lives, everything they've ever known or loved, thrown away all for heroin, and to think of how much money and support he could've afforded, any doctor or treatment that he wanted, and still all that wasn't enough to free him, if that's not a clear enough representation of the vice grip this drug has people trapped in....... There's a reason they don't show the public photos of Kurt Cobain in the months leading upto his death, those pictures (if u can find them) show the true effects of dependent drug use....😟😔😥

  • To be honest all thr conspiracy theories, thr vanity fare article did kurt in, and after this "rohpynol thing" and leaving the rehab escape, he knew the media were going to rip him apart. He couldn't deal with that. He definitely wouldn't be able to see his daughter after leaving rehab. He felt like his was on the run..My opinion what do you think?

  • Kurt Cobain wouldn't do that to himself. He had more to live by. He had a family of his own to look forward to. He had a bright future ahead of himself. Ha had other dreams, goals, solo acoustic, etc. He had a daughter who he loved the most well besides the obvious aka his wife Courtney Love. Especially, Nirvana/fans 100%

    • you have never met a person dependent on drugs, much less a mentally ill one. the story often ends the same way as Kurt’s. please don’t blame his wife, the person who probably grieved the most after his death.

    • @@laurissil Yeah, Courtney took it as if it was just in her own way of coping in private grief. Frances don't remember him cuz she was just barely only just a little baby. Kurt had his inner demons. Why would he end it all. When he had so much going for him.

    • Obviously you don't know what Heroin addiction and untreated bipolar disease can do to your way of thinking and how dangerous that combination is. I speak from personal experience I'm 46 and I did heroin for years and your not you anymore once it reaches a certain point and you care more about the drug than family, friends and yourself. And Kurt wasn't thinking clearly when he pulled the trigger.

    • I read something by a psychologist once that stuck with me: "people don't kill themselves for any reason but when they lose reason all together." Kurt had lost all reason at the end. He had mental and drug problems he couldn't cope with, running away from rehabs and his family. He probably thought he was beyond helping, which wasn't true, but that's how it gets towards the end.
