10-man USA lose at Trinidad and Tobago | Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 USMNT | Official Game Highlights

The USMNT lost on the road to Trinidad and Tobago in the second leg of their Nations League quarterfinal tie. USA led 1-0 in the 25th minute but after a Sergiño Dest red card in the 39th minute left USA down to 10 men, Trinidad and Tobago came back to get the 2-1 win.
Despite the loss, the USMNT advanced 4-2 on aggregate to the Nations League semifinals and booked their ticket to the 2024 Copa América.

  • Give Trinidad and Tobago some much-deserved credit. Those were two brilliantly struck goals....Dest's sending off was silly on his part, but those two conversions from Tdad were absolutely stunning.

  • Once we scored that away goal, it was over. The “loss” though is 100% on Dest. Embarrassing and unacceptable behavior from him.

    • you can’t put the loss on him. yes it was stupid but there’s still a whole second half to play and when he did that we were winning. the real issue is the coaching and leadership of this team and even our FA

    • The GK should get his share of the blame. Beat on the near post from a crazy angle, then from miles out by a shot he should be pushing around the post, he gets both hands to it

  • So Dest gets pissed about 2 bad calls, sees yellow, and the ref who made the bad calls chases him down to continue the argument and ends up giving him a second yellow? Look, I'm all for personal responsibility and respect for officials, but those are both two-way streets.

    • @@paul-lq5nw no, that field always looks like it’s had 8” of water on it. Both teams had trouble getting traction or having the ball bounce up at the wrong time. T&T might’ve had two more goals if the ball didn’t stop on a mound of grass.
