It's the morning after Sonic and Tails met, and Sonic has made the decision for the two to be brothers. But to make such a change is not as simple as that, as Tails still suffers heavily from the trauma of the past few months of his life. For Tails to truly be at home, Sonic will have to do all he can to maintain Tails' fragile sense of trust, and the trust of both will be put to the test.

  • I cried a river. Tails crying over being picked on reminds me of when I was in foster care multiple times. He IS only two years old, and a new place IS scary when you don't know the area or the people in it. 🧡🦊🥺

  • This is just heartwarming 💜😭😭 It's a good thing tails was hiding from packagers so they won't hurt him again but at least sonic kept his promise to tails that he will come right back home, also tails is not a freak and sonic told he loves him but tails understood why sonic had to leave and tails trusts sonic when he told him the story of why he left so sweet of sonic that he will never ever leave tails alone ever again💜😭😭♥️

    • I don't know if you saw the first episode but he's only 2 years old here, he doesn't remember his parents, got bullied by 3 others/tied to a flagpole/got a bloody nose in the first episode, didn't have a home, and was never given any form of love from the moment he was born. So Tails having so much PTSD from feeling abandoned makes a lot of sense. Going 2 years without anyone loving you does a lot to a person let alone such a young child.

  • THIS WAS SO CUTE OMG Edit: I feel bad for Tails when he was home alone, especially when he started having flashbacks of all those bullies calling him a freak, having to go through so many emotions alone. I also felt bad when Sonic came back, and Tails was hiding from Sonic. This episode was so heartwarming, and I feel it gave us more of a perspective of Tails. I hope there will potentially be an episode 4 of this series. Already imagining what might happen if there is an episode 4. Edit 2: Watching this for the 3rd or 4th time

  • 10:18 It just occurred to me that the remote Sonic shows Tails here is different than the remote we see in "Tails's First Cut". Did he make an upgrade offscreen, or did I miss something?

    • I was on an older device then, and by the time I got my current device, the remote I used in Tails' First Cut was one I couldn't find anymore. I wasn't yet trying to establish much real continuity back when I made Tails' First Cut, so considerer it an unavoidable flub, I guess.

    • @@Wolffman109 Old laptop. SFM doesn’t have cloud support, so any models (like that remote) that aren’t on the workshop anymore, I couldn’t use on my new (current) laptop, because I didn’t have a way of dragging them into the new one (I don’t have a big flash drive or backup hard drive).

  • I’d have a hunch the next episode might be titled “Protection” Hopefully we see Sonic in action to defend Tails from threats. Sonic can beat up all those people that hurt tails. I’d love to see that!🎉

  • The wait was SO worth it, the Tails That Bond Episode 3: Trust was awesome and fully of brotherly comfort. It's just completely breaks my heart to see Tails cry, the poor little guy has been through so much trauma throughout his life before meeting Sonic. But now their brothers and he trusts him and now is finally in a loving good home where he'll NEVER be alone again. Thank You so much for this awesome animation TailsFan109!

  • It's so beautiful... Please don't stop! This is incredibly unique content and you have a unique talent for doing this kind of stuff. The number and intensity of emotions that your episodes evoke... to be honest, I don't remember the last time I got so emotional. Tails is my favorite character and his backstory and character development has always been of the greatest interest to me. Thank you so much.

  • This was so heartwarming; I actually cried a little. This kind of reminds me how, in 2020, I thought I was _never_ going to see my best friend again... He is as close to me as Sonic and Tails are to each other. By a miracle, however, he managed to come see me _during that unprecedented year,_ and I knew he and I would always be bros, no matter what. 🥹 Great episode!
