  • 1. It's not an inverter as it's input and outputs are both DC. We may call it a step-up DC converter. 2. The description and actual components used in the video different. IRFZ44 is MOSFET as seen in the video description whereas D1047 NPN transistor used in the video. 3. If they used this transistor it needs a base driver stage with another set of transistors which neither seen in the oscillator circuit board nor in the power circuit. 4. D1047 is 200V, 12A NPN transistor, even if it drawing the full rated current (practically not possible) of the transistor the maximum capacity would be 12*12*4= 576Watts only. Whereas it says 6000W. 5. From the picture guess the output bridge diode is rated for 1Amp only. If we load it for a continuous current of 0.7Amps (still the power dissipation by the diodes would be about 4Watt), it can have the maximum capacity of 220*0.7*4=616Watts only. 6. Don't think the guage of the wires used at the DC power side can handle more than 10Amps. Even if we assume 10A, the capacity of the converter would be 12*10= 120Watts only. 7. Need to understand the switching frequency to comment on the capacitor sizing at the output side. 8. Understand it is only a promotional video for the PCB supplier..

  • Hello, nice video ! maybe you can help on the following : My victron Phoenix Inverter 12v 750va just doesn't want to start, no led, no noise... I decided to open it and everything seems to be fine : the 3 30A fuses, the small fuse in the switch circuit, all mosfets and diodes. I basically see no short anywhere. It seems more of on open circuit somewhere as no voltage go to the drive board. Any idea where to look at ? are there any other fuses ? Thank you

  • You use mica, as an insulator between the transistor and the heatsink. But as you use a metal screw and nut connected directly to the transistor. The use of mica is pointless in this case. With mica, you must use thermal paste. A very tiny amount, not gobs! to aid the heat transfer between the mica and the metal. The paste fills in the gaps in the rough surface of the mica and metal since air doesn't conduct heat. Again THE USE OF MICA is NOT as a substitute for proper thermal paste.

    • @@harakumarghadai7828 That has nothing to say as the bolt threads will be the point of of electrical connection and the nut clamping down to the tab of the TO package. You use mica if you want the transistor it self isolated from from the heatsink.

      @afre3398@afre33982 жыл бұрын
    • @@harakumarghadai7828 that's what he is saying. This transistors are "hot" to ground. That's why he used mica between them and a heatsink. But when he put a metal screw he made that insulation useless. Ok you can center them carefully to not touch the screws with their ground but it's not how it's done. Either you use a nylon screw. Or you use a nylon washer with a lip that drops in to the mount hole on the transistor and a nylon nut. And yeah,mica without thermal paste doesn't work. No thermal transfer to the heatsink.

      @TheCerovec@TheCerovec2 жыл бұрын

The energy input will be equal to the output energy. wattage P is equal to voltage times current (P=U*I) and hence the input current will be equal to 6000/12= 500 Ampere. At this point I hope you do understand that this contraption probably hardly may be able to output 60 Watt. It is a hoax and a scam. Do not use any time or money on this project.

  • Is not Sine wave, is Continuous current at output, that of course pretty much all devices can work except asynchronous motors, and devices that use thirster/triac as power regulator or switchers, and very dangerous if you touch the output INSTANT HEART STOP. Continuous current is very dangerous because is not like alternative current, continuous current lock you in that position indefinitely. And, yes is a pay'd promotion for JLPCB for sure. When the dryer has been connected is shown that the light from the bulb is drastically reduced, most likely from 200V to about 100V and that decrease in power let the drier and the light bulb consumed power go to the rated transistors and diode rectifiers power of about 600W at maximum. So this is not a Sine wave 6000W inverter, is a 100/200W continuous current inverter to stay in a minimum 180V output Voltage, and even that to power 220V power wall inverters you need about 250V CC to start, other rule is applied for CC motors. KZhead need to be sued is someone get hurt or die because of this type of shit, this can be prevented if downvotes were visible.

    • Actually it's square wave. We can't use this to other home appliances. Motor appliances must need sine wave otherwise motors get damaged

  • Moi un truc qui me chipote, c'est que même avec un rendement de 100%, il faudrait que l'alimentation 12 volt fournisse 500 ampères, vous imaginez la taille des câbles !!! One thing that quibbles with me is that even with 100% efficiency, the 12 volt power supply would have to supply 500 amps, you can imagine the size of the cables!!! Una cosa que me molesta es que incluso con una eficiencia del 100%, la fuente de alimentación de 12 voltios tendría que suministrar 500 amperios, ¡puedes imaginar el tamaño de los cables!
