I really appreciate the specific instructions and demonstrations that you gave in this tutorial. “ I’m seeing rows… it I want to see blending”. When you say what you see us doing wrong and then show us the correct way…. They were real lightbulb moments! Thank you!!
I’m glad its helping, it also helps me to have students in my group and seeing what they are creating after the video. If i see something I need to address then i will. Its a win win for everyone.
You are a wonderful teacher.
Thank you! 😃
First class tutorial, not only do you show how to do it, but your thinking on why you do it. A must watch ❤️❤️❤️

Wow, this was like being in a classroom with you! The depth of your instruction, the explanations, the demonstrations, showing us how much water and/or pigment - correcting water puddles, filling in the two open spaces. This is an amazing video. Thank you so much for sharing your process with us. It's wonderful. I see this and think this is so me and how I need to be painting. I love layering in digital painting. I feel comfotable experimenting digitally since i can just undo. This gives me the desire and a little confidence boost as I see how you can just work it out and I don't have to worry about messing it up. I can't wait to try this out tomorrow morning! You are a fabulous instructor and your style is divine!

Debra… I’m struggling so much with the concept of loose painting. Every painting is still overworked heavy and dense. I am inspired again to try this tutorial. I think it gave the kind of instruction I could “hear”. Felt like more detail I think. Thank you! I’m so blessed by you and your style… I just have to learn this!!
You can do it! It takes time, and do a simple subject of maybe a single flower…don’t overwhelm yourself.
This was fun to follow along. Im getting the hang and I gotta kept at it. thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for all the info and a great tutorial!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for tuning in!!!
That was a wonderful video! It was exactly what I needed. You don't know how impatient I am with KZhead videos. I get bored after 5 minutes. But this one had me engaged for the whole 35+ minutes. I learned SO MUCH! Thank you!
Looks like so much fun. Jane

Gorgeous!
I love Janet’s Violet Rose! I learned about it in a workshop I took with Janet Rogers. I love your color scheme here Debra Lyn! As usual, your painting is awesome! I am inspired to try this technique!
Oh thank you! She had a workshop in my area just about a month ago, of course i missed it! Ugh…next time maybe.
You have made me desire to try watercolor painting!!! Presently, I only work with acrylics. Thank you so much. ❤
Wonderful! it’s completely different, as you work from light to dark with watercolor, but what’s so magical about watercolor is that it doesn’t unique things on its own, and the clean up is easy. I struggle with acrylics as i find them like pushing glue around and the clean up is a nightmare. but I still use them from time to time.
It’s such a great inspiration
Beautifully explained. Thank you 🙏🏼. BTW love those pigment stains on your shirt sleeves 😃
You are so welcome! Oh you like those stains 😂 i wear my sweeties discarded old shirts to protect my own clothes. I’m known at times to just wipe my brush on the shirt.
This tutorial helped me very much. I need a lot of help because EVERYTHING must be perfect. I'm sure many know how that works out. Thank you.
Hi Michelle! I hope it helps, it will be an adjustment to switch mindsets, but if there is a will, there is a way! Happy painting!
