Nobody out there seems to be talking about this, but there are only three rows on the fretboard that are all natural notes. These can be incredibly helpful marker points...if we use them. Have a look at this fun approach.

  • I found this just browsing guitar lesson sites. i try to play guitar but am left handed so a little challenging to say the least! i am also a slow learner, but this lesson is sooooo easy to remember, i got it in one night!! So hoping that the rest moves me to learn at same pace. Short Clear and amusing.. Thank You Sir.

    • Many thanks for finding me and watching this! In my lessons I always say "fretting hand" and "strumming/picking hand" so the left-handed people in GuitarSuccess4U have clear instructions. Keep at it, and please keep watching. More good videos are coming!

  • it’s interesting that you offered 2 mnemonics devices for both ascending and descending? For example, Eddie ate dynamite goodbye Eddie and then easter bunnies get dizzy at Easter. why is it that you think learning 2 of these would be easier than one? thanks for the video.

    • Yes - going ascending and descending gives us two vantage points. Think of a scale - you can go up or down. Or strumming - you strum down and up. Knowing a concept from a few different angles gives us better understanding and traction. Thanks for watching.
