I did my homework. I have never been a dog person...ever. We grew up with cats. About a year ago I began watching a certain show on cable and got educated about this breed and their behavior. About 3 months ago, we adopted a shelter rescue English Staffordshire Terrier. She is awesome and we all love her so much. I can honestly say I'll probably never own any other breed.

All my life I've owned Pit Bulls and these aren't Pits. Too heavy for one which is very unhealthy for the dog. Hear his breathing and it's not good at all. Great Danes who are far bigger don't even breathe like that. These are two beautiful bullies and he needs to get his boy healthy.

So many bandogges turning up! That big dog is not a full blood pit! You mix a Cane Corso with a Pit and this is what you get. People are selling them as extra large pitbulls, but their not. If you want a big dog then just get a full blood Cane Corso. Lets not mix up breeds just to make the pit larger than other pitbulls to say, "mine are bigger and stronger", their was a reason the pit was the size it was ment to be. If this keeps up, then the Cane Corso, and pitbull breeds will merge into the same breed. The history of the Cane Corso is much older, and different than the pits, so lets keep the breeds pure.

I have been in the big dog world forever, and know exactly how this happened. I even know one of the main dogs that started it. "Diamondhead's Axel" was the dog that began screwing up the pits. Axel was a Cane Corso, and the first to come into Texas many years ago. This dog was the BADDEST BEAST on the planet, and was extremely dominate over pits in bite force competitions, weight pulling, attack work, and fighting. He was not only dominate over pitbulls, but even other Cane Corso's, and all Mastiffs for that matter, Axel simply was some kind of freak!!! and a throw back to the Roman fighters of 2000 years ago. Without getting into the hole story of Axel, breeders of pits just wanted a piece of his genetics. After that other Cane Corso's and then Neo's started getting bred into the pits to make a bigger and bigger pitbull. This needs to be reversed, and these larger dogs bred out, and get the pits back to their original types. They were perfect like they were.

All my life I've owned Pit Bulls and these aren't Pits. Too heavy for one which is very unhealthy for the dog. Hear his breathing and it's not good at all. Great Danes who are far bigger don't even breathe like that. These are two beautiful bullies and he needs to get his boy healthy.

So many bandogges turning up! That big dog is not a full blood pit! You mix a Cane Corso with a Pit and this is what you get. People are selling them as extra large pitbulls, but their not. If you want a big dog then just get a full blood Cane Corso. Lets not mix up breeds just to make the pit larger than other pitbulls to say, "mine are bigger and stronger", their was a reason the pit was the size it was ment to be. If this keeps up, then the Cane Corso, and pitbull breeds will merge into the same breed. The history of the Cane Corso is much older, and different than the pits, so lets keep the breeds pure.

I have been in the big dog world forever, and know exactly how this happened. I even know one of the main dogs that started it. "Diamondhead's Axel" was the dog that began screwing up the pits. Axel was a Cane Corso, and the first to come into Texas many years ago. This dog was the BADDEST BEAST on the planet, and was extremely dominate over pits in bite force competitions, weight pulling, attack work, and fighting. He was not only dominate over pitbulls, but even other Cane Corso's, and all Mastiffs for that matter, Axel simply was some kind of freak!!! and a throw back to the Roman fighters of 2000 years ago. Without getting into the hole story of Axel, breeders of pits just wanted a piece of his genetics. After that other Cane Corso's and then Neo's started getting bred into the pits to make a bigger and bigger pitbull. This needs to be reversed, and these larger dogs bred out, and get the pits back to their original types. They were perfect like they were.
