Legit knockdown in round 1. Rigo was getting hit, gloves touched the canvas, shouldve been called a knockdown. Shouldve deducted a point after rd 6. You can say it barely did damage but thats subjective. He intentionally threw a punch after the bell rang and it hit the opponent = penalty Also, this ref never paused the fight to remind the fighters to engage. Yeah rigo was throwing some counters but the milage to punching ratio was just off. This ref almost cost casimero this fight

There is a difference between running and being a defensive fighter. Ive been boxing for 10 years and rigo was more of a technical counter-puncher. He evades and waits for casimero to go in and attack then he counterpunches. Yes it aint as exciting as you all would expect but he kinda exposed casimeros defense here. With the right counterpunch he could get hurt

Casimero is a brawler and goes in with power punches playing defensive is key. Not all boxers are gonna give you that all-out brawl that people wants. Here's the thing. If Rigondeaux was the defending Champion he would've won the fight but if you're the challenger you have to press the action or if you're a counterpuncher you have to outwork your opponent and since the fight was close it could've gone either way and Casimero winning is deserving IMO. Floyd on the other hand despite the many hate for him is actually a busier counterpuncher than Rigo so dont EVER compare Rigo to Floyd. this might be a testament for that previous May-Pac fight that it was a lot closer than most people thought of it. I actually scored it 115-113 for Manny and most people are laughing at me, but I suggested to rewatch that fight and they changed their mind that the fight is a maximum of a draw or a Pacquiao win. you cannot simply tell me Mayweather was "schooling" Manny if his own father wants to him him in the face at the end of round 10 where tension was very high on Mayweather's corner. Pacquiao was landing power shots while Floyd was landing jabs, Pac was parrying Mayweather jabs too and landing to his flanks hence why Mayweather was always forced to shell up the moment Pacquiao cut the ring perfectly.
Very challenging, how can you chase & catch someone like Rigo style, You can’t throw a good power punch while running.
