Unsafe SCHOOL BUS STOP forces kids to WALK on the STREET!

This is a very special one. I got caught behind a bus this week and was shocked to see the stop the kids got off at! Another complete dumping ground. The kids had to walk on the street because the sidewalks were completly trashed. I knew right then that this would by my next project.
This one took 2 days but it was well worth it. Found a couple toilets, front bumper, diapers, and a whole lot of trash. Also, my truck window got smashed - but it was all worth it to see the end result!

  • We pay taxes to the schools, the cities, the states... and it take a random stranger with no ties to the property to make it safe for these kids to walk home after getting off a bus every day. Disgraceful! Thank you for helping these kids out. You're a gem.

    • Where are the parents? They can't meet with the school board, write to their representative and ask why this isn't being taken care of, or plan a group cleanup with other parents and kids to clean it up? Just seems lazy and the kids get put into the street where it's not safe either.

    • @@Beach-Star-Experience-550-YT I think people don't 'see' things. They drive by it every day and just become desensitized to it. Also, a lot of people don't prioritize landscaping/yardwork, so they really don't see any problem with overgrowth. I think it's more of a perception difference than laziness.

    • Suburban cities don't really take in enough money to really take care of every block of road and sidewalk. They rely on new suburban areas and inner city zones to pay for the maintenance of other older areas. Unfortunately, that Ponzi-like game fails apart when they stop growing, and now they have large stretches of roads and infrastructure they need to maintain. So, they have started neglecting some areas of the city to maintain the areas that generate business, taxes, and happy Donors.

    • I don’t think it is about the community not caring, I think it is about resources, access, and politics of urban development. That’s what it looks like is going on here. Typically the tax money that people pay go to areas that bring more money back to the city. Areas they invest in for development from big developers or people coming into communities with money to build and take areas like what he is cleaning up at very low costs to displace these kids and their families. What he is doing is great and very caring, I wish more people took notice and even fought for neighborhoods like this in the private development sector. I saw the question mark and wanted to provide an answer, hope this helps.

Had a business owner in Missouri was told to cut the grass in front of his store, but told he couldn't put a sign up because it was not his property. He told whoever was telling him to cut it that if he can't put a sign up he will not cut it so city takes care of it. • Having to walk in the road around a trash heap (especially after a bad school day) would definitely lower my spirits. Thanks man! That was hard work and made a difference in kids’ safety and peace of mind!

  • I live in South Africa and we are knee deep in litter and filth. We have become a third world country over the past 20yrs or so. I wish we had good men like this to do their best for communities. This man is a hero. Subbed and liked ❤

  • Hopefully this speaks volumes to the students that a non parent, non neighborhood resident would take the time and effort to keep them safe.

  • The city should have paid you something. They are responsible for public safety. That corner wasn't safe for children or any civilians. You are a Saint for protecting them.

    • Absolutely the BEST yard guy I've seen!! You have to have a special soul to just take something so awful and think of those that need a safer place to exit the bus and make it a place that shines. I would bill the city for that window. Least they can do. Bravo!! Just amazing!! 🥰👏🤗👍😇

  • I don’t ever leave comments after watching KZhead videos but I am so impressed by this one. There definitely are not many people out there that would be willing to do this much work trying to help out.

  • The people who own the property should take care of this. If they watched this they should be really grateful for what you did. City council should sent these people a penalty fine.

    • Why should the people who own the property clean up a mess on the sidewalk that the city should have cleaned up? I'm betting they haven't been able to maintain that bit of fence for a long time because other gross people have been using that public sidewalk as a dumping ground. That's the city's responsibility. I'm sure they will be very grateful that they can now maintain their fence line properly. IF anyone actually lives in that property. It looks abandoned, which means the private property signs were put up by a bank.

    • The city or state owns that. They’re supposed to clean it up. But they don’t- they just know how to fine residents for having a very slightly overgrown yard. Of course there is the exception of some people really do have a big mess of a yard. Anyhow- the city should get a fine for not cleaning up their part. It’s a shame. They should be honoring him for doing their job for sure!😊
