I agree. Not a mere ordinary / mediocre MV. Every small detail has a storyline and the transition was beautifully depicted. Acting was great. Cinematography was perfectly executed indeed. Its more like watching a movie. By the way, he's Cha Eunwoo, he wrote the lyrics of this song too. He's a korean idol, artist, actor & model. Thanks for giving time to react for his MV. 😊

Cha Eunwoo made entity album to express his emotion using music , eunwoo is an idol / actor / model / entertainer .. he is a member of Astro group ( 6 members ) , moonbin 1 of the members left us 10 months ago , Astro member r all like 1 familly they grew up together so this is a huge tragedy to all of them & eunwoo finally took this step after all these months to tell us his fans how he is feeling from that day to this day .. today he released the 2nd mv ( where am I ) it's like the part 2 of this mv .. the whole album is a masterpiece at least for me .. As others have mentioned, Cha Eun Woo is a member of a kpop group callled Astro - while he has sung a number of OSTs for his dramas and movies, this is his solo debut with an album. The MV was filmed on the paramount studios lot and red rock canyon. The album itself is about love to the casual listener, but for arohas (fans of astro) this mv, where am i, and the whole album in general is so much more than that. it is about dealing and processing the grief and sorrow from the loss of Moonbin last year. In the Where Am I mv, there are parallels to Astro's Always You MV in terms of lyrics and also the opening and ending scenes with Moonbin. its all the more tragic because Eun Woo was in the US for other work reasons when he found out about Moonbin. I will be completely honest with you that Astro's music as a group and their mvs are not anything like this, but I do hope you check them out. They are so incredibly talented and are generally more upbeat, but do have a couple of darker or harder songs. With Eun Woo's debut as a solo artist, all the members have now officially debuted as solo or subgroups as well. There is Astro, then MJ as a solo trot (more country style), JinJin and Rocky (Rocky has also since left Astro and is pursuing a solo career) with a more funky sound, Moonbin and Sanha with a much darker vibe, and then now Eun Woo with the more indie rocky feel. I think it just goes to show how diverse they are.

You just validated what many have been saying about it, how amazing it is both for its artistry and song quality even acting (if we'll be honest about it). The opening guitar chords really set the tone for this melancholy rock type of song and the way that he sang. With his raw emotions, the deep longing and sadness and then build that up to the moment he hits the chorus. Wow! Could totally relate to everything you said tbh. Anyways, Cha Eunwoo co-wrote this song, plus all other songs in his solo album Entity. Hope you could check it out. Great song line up from that album. I did end up giving him the Golden Cloud Award because the quality of the video, the lyrics and the melody were fantastic and also there was a shock factor because I did not expect this style of music. Your commentary made me tear up. I’m a big fan of Cha Eun Woo as a solo artist as well as his group, Astro. This is his solo debut. It’s not mainstream as you can see in the number of views. Haters say it’s a flop. Can you imagine that? Just because it’s not the typical hard hitting pop. I suppose people have different tastes in music, and may find this boring. But for me, it hits hard. The MV may portray longing for a romantic partner but really, the fans know this is him expressing his despair from the loss of his best friend who passed away last year, another member of Astro. His name is Moonbin. The B-side MV for Where Am I shows this even more as it’s not disguised as romance. A few weeks ago, he released a cover of Love is Gone (m.kzhead.info/sun/i52emdJvsXetf30/bejne.html) as a tribute to Moonbin on his birthday. Another must see. You can really feel the longing in his voice.

I get that people have different tastes and maybe this wasn't a style his fans were used to, but to me this really hit hard, not a flop in the slightest. Well, considering Eun Woo refused to do promotions for the album bc it's personal to him obviously, I guess critics would say it's a flop, but for us it's a masterpiece in my opinion. My prayers for healing for both the ASTRO and SEVENTEEN members who were also close to Moonbin, and also for the KPOP world that's still struggling from this tragedy. 😢❤

Try Where Am I from Cha, Eunwoo. It is the MV that describes “suffocating sorrow” because this year in April one of the Astro members died (Moonbin) & they were very close friends for years. CEW was in the US at a concert when he heard of his friend’s death. This video is his description of grief & his race back to his friend who would never see again. Just unbelievably intense.

I totally agree with you, the video has something special, it has soul. For me this musical style is better to express feelings If you see Astro, even though it is a Kpop group, they always mix rhythms and end up creating quite original music within what that genre is, it has their stamp. I honestly am not a big fan of Kpop, however that group earned a place on my playlists. I liked you reaction thank you!

I really loved your breakdown and interpretation of this video, thank you for reacting to Eunwoo's solo! I think you've already gotten some good backstory, but to summarize: he debuted in the kpop group Astro in 2016, which consists of 6 members. They're from a small company that went through a lot of financial troubles, so he started acting in kdramas to get their name out there more and actually blew up as an actor in Korea and throughout Asia thanks to his romance dramas like My ID is Gangnam Beauty and True Beauty. That helped his group gain some momentum, sell more albums, and win awards. But last April, his group member Bin (who is also his best friend) passed away. Astro have understandably been very shaken since and been privately processing their grief. Eunwoo co-wrote all the songs on his solo debut (5 tracks available digitally + 1 album-only track) and explained that it was his way of working through the pain and hopefully bringing comfort to the fans, so I do think almost every song can be interpreted to be dealing with his loss - but especially Stay and Where Am I, which each have MVs.

It is so refreshing to see a reaction video from someone who watched it for what it is, not blinded by the celebrity Cha Eun Woo is, at least for the most part in South Korea. I totally agree with everything you said, we are on the same page! To give you another perspective, it might be a good idea to watch his band’s past videos. I’ve been reading all the comments so I don’t need to expound on this particular video. May I suggest you watch ASTRO’s music videos of KNOCK, BLUE FLAME, CRAZY SEXY COOL, AFTER MIDNIGHT and CANDY SUGAR POP. There were 6 of them in the group, all with different styles individually as showcased in their recent solo and sub-unit works. Thanks again!

Eunwoo tiene una voz realmente reconfortante. Él fue el que hizo, con su voz que me acercada al mundo del kpop. Esta canción, y en general todo el álbum, tiene una gran significado para todo el fandom de Astro, es decir Aroha, que vienen de situaciones ocurridas el año pasado. Astro es un gran grupo. C, con canciones muy melódicas y en la que en cualquiera de sus álbumes, puedes escucharlos en cualquier momento, y cualquiera de sus canciones es energética y emocional, sin importante si con todo el grupo o con solo uno de los miembros. Pero también es importante por que es el primer mini álbum después de 8 años de su debut. Él ha trabajado mucho para subir su reputación como artista y que no se le vea como una cara bonita, sino, como un cantante, modelo, actor, embajador de marcas, entre muchas otras cosas. Este álbum es parte de los logros, pero es más importante el significado detrás de este álbum. Gracias por tus comentarios, espero que escuches más de este grupo, y por supuesto de los OST que ha grabado este hombre.

I would like to comment on the Reaction vid. I will just say, Cha Eun Woo and the member from Seventeen, Seungkwan were bf's to the late Moonbin the member from Cha Eun Woo's group ASTRO. His death came suddenly that shocked the whole kpop community. No one saw it coming least of all these two guys that were most closed to Moonbin. So rip to Bin and may GOD grant healings to all those involved. And thank you GeorgeTheCloud for a wonderful honest Reaction. ❤👌✌️
