For me: it needs closet in bedroom and chest of drawers or a combo of both. Too much unused floor space. Bathroom needs a big (wide and high) medicine cabinet, not just a mirror. Towel storage? Did I miss seeing a laundry? stackable would be great. Needs an area/room divider/closet/cubbies at the front door for coats and boots and shoes. Kitchen definitely requires above the counter cupboards - they don't have to be so deep that they stick out in one's face. This is perfect for a BnB, but not so much for someone who has hobbies and crafts to live in. Lovely decor and light.

I've been watching you guys for a couple of years now and I'm planning to buy either a Birmingham or Charleston within the next year or two. Just thought I'd say too, that Amanda is very good with the camera! Especially when viewing the homes, she shows everything you want to see, and not in a herky jerky manner. The camera flows smoothly and focuses on what it should, when it should. I'm no camera expert, but I'd say that Amanda definitely has a talent for filming these homes. (p.s. If you could just get the 360* viewing option back to the website, I'd be forever grateful! Sorry, gotta keep asking. ;-) )

The best rooms in this model are the bedroom and the bathroom, the most spacious layout in those rooms of any model. But the kitchen is barely useable with no storage for dishes or food. I would be fine with a smaller fridge, but I prefer upper cabinets and a pantry. And the living room is just not big enough and difficult to place full-size furniture with a tv cabinet. It looks very cramped in this video. I know there is a huge loft, which I would never use except for storage bins, but daily storage and closets on the main living floor are seriously lacking.

The loft should have a wall or railing to prevent someone from falling off the loft.... other than that, love this...
Plus a handrail @ stairs
Tiny homes really need to considered by local governments to address the homeless issue that is just growing leaps and bounds across this country. As someone with mobility issues and 10 years out from retirement, a tiny home is a solution to being able to care for my home in retirement and fixed income living.
So true!
the sad part is; some peoples fixed income is so small that they can't even afford the $15,000.00 RJO that was offered last year. They can afford the lot rent but not the cost of the home along with it.
We are seeing more and more elderly and disabled homeless in my city. It guts me.
Agreed! And the domestic violence issue so women and children can escape and have a safe, and soundly, built home to recover and get back on their feet, in.
I have this model and I absolutely love living in the house. I love the architectural features, layout and indirect lighting as Randy mentioned. It is a comfortable forever home💜
I love that the living room, bathroom and bedroom were the focus on this one. So many times I feel like you live in a kitchen when you’re in these tiny homes and I don’t want to live in a kitchen. For me, this is the perfect size and layout, it feels like a home and the kitchen is everything I need it to be but not the focus of the home. I love that they keep refining their designs too, as they get feedback or see how things could work better or differently. A pantry in this is going to be amazing. Can’t wait to see that updated design.
Totally agree with those big-house kitchens gobbling up space in a tiny home.
The Birmingham is so big and beautiful. I love all of the windows, the flooring, the combination of natural wood and painted wood, the beautiful front door, and the gorgeous exterior. The kitchen is perfect size for tiny house living. The change you made to add the pantry closet will be awesome. I love the open ceiling in the bathroom and all the natural light pouring into this fabulous tiny home. Beautiful workmanship. Ace was really talking to y'all. I just love him. ❤️
Good idea to change sink, those tiny ones get messy, water splashes out.
This is my favorite tiny home layout I've seen yet!! I think you utilized every inch, BUT I think the stairs should be made for open or pullout storage as well! Fantastic job you guys!!!
This is a beautifully staged home. You mentioned the full sized refrigerator sticking out. I agree. That wouldn’t be good. I have a Charleston and I have a taller full sized refrigerator. It doesn’t stick out because it’s a counter depth. It works really well.
What brand is your refrigerator? Bought a Charleston also waiting on my lot in Buffalo Creek
@@user-dd9ve3hn7r the refrigerator is a Whirlpool. I purchased it at Lowe’s in Newport
I love the bed in the bedroom. Also, I love the loft area. I like the fact that there are no cupboards in the kitchen. I love the floating shelves, and all you really need is just enough dishes and silverware for how many people are living there. That way you don't have to be cleaning a lot of dishes.
You still clean just as many dishes, just fewer but more often. You could do that anyway if you wanted to; nobody says that you have to save up all of your dirty dishes to wash at once.
Paper plates. No fuss, no muss.
Beautiful home with a great price! Here in Texas this home’s price range would be $150,000-$180,000.
Randy offers the best for the best quality for the price .
Ya'll must be rich to think that's a good price! 😂😂
@@B.Ritchie1974 Brainwashed 😁
Shhhh. Don’t say it out loud. I don’t want the prices to go up!
@@suzPeacemonger 😆👌
I love seeing the BIRMINGHAM! This is the model I have purchased, and can't wait until I can move to Buffalo Creek!!! Manders and Randy, I am excited to be part of this community. I have been waiting on an update on the Mou 16:27 ntain and Buffalo Creek progress. Thank you for sharing with us. Having the models staged with furniture is a excellent idea! I have so many ideas for my new home.
I'll bet you're getting excited. Did you miss the video before this one? They gave a Mtn/BC update yesterday.
I just love that old doggie❤
It looks great! I would order with single windows instead of double so I could use the walls for shelves, entertainment center, etc.
I think so, too.
Nice design!! I would place the bed a bit closer to the wall on the door side so I can put a good size 3 drawer dresser and then put a closet where the desk is now...but of course it's done how the owner likes it... just throwing in some ideas 😊
This house is incredible. Can imagine the Amanda Decorator was on point and your building/ designing skills are fabulous young man. Love it so much
This is my favorite of all the homes that ITH makes. Love the windows, window seat, and the bedroom.
I would prefer a bedroom pocket door so a floor to ceiling closet/storage could be built in the corner of the bedroom (2 poles). I would also use a lg dresser and mirror in place of the desk/table. Very pretty! ❤
I would like another door in the bedroom instead of four windows. Mostly in case of fire because I can’t climb out a window. Stair storage would be good idea since they are already steep. I’d also remove the window in the alcove and put my tv there.
You could request that when you order
Excellent video! The bedroom looks stunning! The Birmingham is a winner for sure. Other than wanting to leave the bathroom ceiling as is, I wouldn't change a thing. Sorry, gotta keep asking. ;-) )
This is absolutely beautiful. I have one complaint and suggestions for most tiny homes is why do you put the bathroom door right in the kitchen. Please answer me.
That couch is so beautiful and it looks like it was custom made for this house. Beautiful staging
Love!!! I can't wait for the Amanda to come out! Amish do AWESOME craftsmanship!
What size is that shower??? For most people who live in tiny houses, our gym class locker room shower days are over! If it's less than 36", it's not usable. Get rid of the little bathroom closet. You don't want to store coats and hanging clothes near steam anyway: mildew! Turn it into a pantry facing the kitchen and put in a real shower.
As there are always loads of comments on here, I'm not sure if anyone from ITH will see this: I've noticed that the main dissenters are from a small number of regular commenters. I'm wondering if ITH has considered inviting them over as a group to tour the place, learn about the miriad of bts work involved and to thoroughly discuss and address their specific concerns?
He was right in your face Amanda! How are ya'll?! I was there! I meet Melody and Cruz! THIS HOUSE IS PERFECT!🏡🌻I LOVED IT!
Don’t want a big kitchen- it’s beautiful and I love one floor living!🎉
Tiny homes reminds me of my many years of camping in a fully self contained camping trailer. You learn to utilize all possible areas for storage.😊
Of all the ones I’ve seen you do I like this one the best the only thing I can say that is missing is a washer and dryer the stackable kind and if you did have children that you had a safety railing so that they wouldn’t fall from their bedroom down the stairs. One floor Living is much better.
I havent found a suitable kitchen in any of theses homes. Mine will have to be a custome one. Just have to find who will take on the project. I wish Zach and john were still building. But i wouldnt want it a 7 day rush job. They could take a month or more to do it right. I plan on a 60 x 10. Having a hard time finding a long enough trailer as it'll need to be a heavy equipment trailer. Still working on the inside amenities.
Wow those homes are close in the grove😱
Yes, that was the point for that community. The residents are very happy with the arrangement. The ones who wanted a lot of space chose the Mountain.
Beautiful home. The build quality and work ethic of the Amish is top notch.
It's beautiful, but no one noticed that you don't have an oven?
A lot of tiny homes have a microwave convection combo
Bedroom is absolutely beautiful 🩵
Hey Manders and Randy!😊 Beautiful home, great quality work and love the way it’s staged with the furniture and all. Awesome job! Blessings to you all!😘🙏❤️💖
The best rooms in this model are the bedroom and the bathroom, the most spacious layout in those rooms of any model.
I understand what you’re saying but you can only get so much in under 400sq. A tiny home might not work for you. This model has one of the biggest living rooms I have seen. 😊
The Living Room in the Charleston seems to feel larger. The video with the couple from Michigan... Charleston. But I really love Martha's Container Home! Large kitchen, bath and nice bedroom. I'm looking forward to the Amanda to come out!
The living room in the Charleston is larger at 10’10” long vs 9’9” long in the Birmingham. They are both the same width. Even a foot more length makes a difference in small spaces.
You could always add open shelving. If you live tiny, you only have what you need. So you'd probably only have service for 2 to & declutter until you can fit in a tiny.
@ot9228 I have seen 20 ft long tiny house with walk in closets. You just have to work storage into the design.
Unbelievable. I could live there very comfortably. Brilliant Randy & Amanda
That is SUCH. a pretty little home. Looks so cozy and inviting. Great job! I LOVE it! I can see cozying up in there during the winter with my little dogs.❤
I haven’t seen any actual ovens in any of these. That being said they are absolutely gorgeous little houses.
If I lived in America this is the model I would buy tolk-vertaler in the forest😂😂 Only thing change is bathroom. I would want a walk through bathroom between kitchen and bedroom. Sliding doors. Then the stairs by front door to make another counter, kitchen have more counter space and pantry under stairs and toilet under stairs. But I love this model. The wood and paint work is stunning..like Amanda says… It is beautiful all over. Great job
Love what you guys are doing been watching since the back yard.
beautiful tiny home, I love the look and the layout. Amanda thanks for taking the camera away from Randy he was moving it so much it was getting me nauseous😁
I live the Birmingham but I'm very excited for the 12 by 40 Amanda. As a power wheelchair user, the extra width will be great. Downstairs bedroom essential and a bigger bathroom and shower.
Amanda is driving a "purty" truck!! I love it
As a resident of Birmingham, Alabama: great name for this tiny home!! Why is there no oven in the kitchen? Just curious! I like all the natural light
I just watched Ace run for miles on another video on the mountain. That boy needs to get some doggie running shoes or boots running on all that gravel. I guess I might be addicted to this channel. I have one on my computer, and one on my kitchen t.v.! Just watching the work on the mountain while I check out this home.
I absolutely love this build its gorgeous 😍 ❤️
Good evening from Syracuse NY Randy and Amanda and everyone else thank you for sharing your thoughts and information
That Birmingham is absolutely beautiful!! Oh my Goodness! It is in my dreams...forever.
It’s lovely!!❤
It's gorgeous! I would add a foldable counter top on the side somewhere in the kitchen or maybe a drawer type of thing to have a little more prep space, but it's really great as is! bravo =)
Center windows over sink and move microwave down next to fridge so it gives a more open look. Bay window makes the living room.
Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful.
Oh wow i love amish craftsmanship!! Come to canada we desperately need tiny home communities!! The prices of homes are insane! Our 2000 sq ft home is 600k cad and we will sell it when we retire and buy a tiny home probably move to the US.
While this home is absolutely beautiful, there really isn't enough storage. I think if I were to live in this one I would use the whole loft for storage. Kitchen was compromised to make the rest of it bigger.
Id buy it furnished! Beautiful job
Can you please say where the drop leaf table in the living room was purchased? Thank you!
I would love to know too. So hard to find those anywhere.
Grove looks wonderful❤
I think IKEA sells them. I have seen them in many tiny home videos and some of the home owners have mentioned that they got them from IKEA.
@@kathypendergrass6701 Thanks……I’ll check IKEA.
Love it❤❤❤ my favorite so far. The bathroom does look big That bedroom is gorgeous ❤❤ i Love the loft. I want to see the Amanda now❤❤i hope it wint be too much longer for ne to be seeing yall❤
I would prefer a pocket door for the bedroom and bathroom. Also, a rail on the loft for safety with kids up there.
NOW that is the nicest ONE you have built!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is such a beautiful home ! The price is fantastic !! I LOVE YOU ALL @ I.T.H. !!!!!!
It's lovely, but I wish it had an oven and more counter space.
Y'all should mention that many people add outside sheds for additional storage! Folks don't think about that sometimes. I know y'all used to offer sheds as an amenity and if you still do, tell us!
Can’t wait to see the Amanda model!!
Personally I would take out the bay window in the Living room. Remove 2 of the 4 windows, so you have a place 2 hang pictures. Remove the loft. Making your kitchen bigger, turn the stair space for Stacked washer and dryer. Take off the Regular door from the bedroom Put a pocket door And then definitely remove 2 of the 4 windows in the bedroom once again giving you space to hang your pictures TV etra.would love to see it in 12 foot wide. That would be my perfect home .
This is lovely. I would like to know if that bow/bay window can lift to have storage? Would you put a fold up counter on the end for extra counter space? Pocket door into the bedroom?
Beautiful home!! Beautifully decorated, too. Nice job. Enjoyed the video. Well done !
I would probably sleep in the loft and turn the bedroom into a sewing studio.😊❤
Those palms need massive water when they are first planted, soak them
Such a Beautiful presentation and great details. The way. You both. Presented. The. Birmingham Home. So very lovely ❤❤❤. Thank you kindly for sharing. Warmly. Liz❤❤❤❤ ✨✨✨💐
I love this model. Beautifully decorated.
Is that window seat storage? Would be awesome!
No, no storage.
Really like the bedroom and Living room
Never seen you guys before but I’m in love with her. Yal are so funny I’m a texas gal and we have strong accents too. I’m subbing. ❤️dog
I love it,its fantastic.
Wow it's absolutely incredible l
Whomever decorated this home. Wow wow. I need her to do mine.
Ace says. Been tryin to tell you they’re up there. Lol
Lady you're breathing in the microphone lol
I have found that you can't please everyone, so it really is a personal decision. I love the fact that you can walk around the bed. But even if you wanted the bed next to the window you could fit a small dresser on the other side. In the end you decide how you want your home to be built. 105,000 isn't alot when you think about the mobility of your home. You can move anywhere. And with a few furniture changes you can add furniture that gives you more storage. I love the height of this model. A winner for sure!!
Beautiful
What an incredibly beautiful home!
Oh my you took my breath away. Lovely done.
Great decorating job!! Thank you Randy and Amanda
It is a beautiful model!!! Great layout!!! Great price!!! Love it! Quality and beauty!
Beautiful BIG comfy ❤
GORGEOUS!!!!! Way to go Melody!!!!
I'm bothered by the fact that the bathroom is open at the ceiling level. What if you have guests? 😮
I enjoy what you call the nonsense, Amanda! Great show.
I love this house!! A touch of Elegance!! 💜💜
I love this one!❤
They add more outlets? I see the coffee pot is not plugged in. Do you have enough outlets in the kitchen for all the appliances?
you two are a hoot. Thoroughly enjoyed how you started this video.
So beautiful and homey. Great job on design and the Amish great job on quality.
Add more bathroom to use washer dryer combo laundry. Bathroom just too small. Eating can be done in living room with a modified table or try or flip up table. Laundry and clean up is important.
I have been watching you for a very long time but this is my first time commenting. Randy I am so proud of everything you have created. I’m so inspired by your giving nature and willing to work with people to make their lives better. I mostly consider the retirement age people who have very little to live on. You are an amazing person Randy. I would have bought a home already but I’m in Minnesota and don’t want to move away from my kids and grand kids. I want to take a trip to Tennessee and visit your location with my husband. This home is amazing and just beautiful. I wonder if a wheel chair would fit down the hallway. I also wonder if a tiny home could accommodate one of those walk in tub showers. Anyway I love the videos please keep them comming!❤❤❤ 16:13 16:13
Could you add a soaking tub into the bathroom? Would there be enough room opposite the shower? Then move the toilet and sink vanity.
