  • Don't marry a person because of love. Marry because you want to fulfill a purpose and the will of God.

    • And how are you to have sex with that person? It really makes sense if one could marry and not have sex. What does the Bible mean when it says a man must love his wife?

      @LukeRev480@LukeRev4806 ай бұрын
    • I got married for the reasons you said- dumbest idea ever. We were great on paper but I didn’t love him I even told him so. I said love will come because we have everything else. I thought I was so smart. Now we’re divorced and now I know on no other foundation can anything be built - Only love remains. (True love not the Hollywood portrayal of it 😂) we apologized to each other for perverting our friendship using each other only to create some kind of idealized life. Fortunately we’re still good friends today

    • @@LukeRev480 You should get married because of LOVE but not the only reasons. Remember you can love anyone but your purpose can’t be fulfilled with anyone. You want to know that your intentions of getting married is firm because you can also get sex from anyone.

    • @@pageandink Amen! I'm glad you were matured enough to apologize to each other. Taking that advise! Society does n't want us to think about what happens when "love does n't come". I always say, I know exactly what will happen; I would n't want him anywhere near me (And would make sure he understands that clearly),I don't care how handsome or rich or close to Jesus he is. Now, would it not be selfish to commit someone to a sexless marriage? Afterall, sex ( not the only reason) is part of marriage, and it should n't feel like a job.

  • Rest on Dr Myles. My spirit is directing me to your teaching about marriage & relationships because I’m in that season of wondering why I’m still single & before listening to this teaching I thought something was wrong with me. But now I now better after listening to this teaching: Knowledge of self has grown - I most definitely can’t settle for something a little as love : I have to be with someone that grows , supports & inspires my dream. Someone that fits into where I am going 💕

    • This is profound and very much necessary for all of us who are married, and those who are still on their way to marriage. However, Dr Myles puts it so clear that it is beyond married couples only, it needs to be applied in all relationships including self love, intra personal relationship... Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom will surely help us greatly when applied in our everyday relationships. May his precious soul continue to rest in eternal peace🕊️🕊️ What a Mighty God we serve indeed!!! We thank God for Dr Myles and his great and powerful teachings👏👏👏 I am truly blessed to have this wonderful message. Shalom🙏🙏🙏

    @DK1MM@DK1MM23 күн бұрын
    • @DK1MM Ma'am, if you are certain he's been intentional from the inception, methinks you should open up yourself to see him for who he is. Rarely do women experience that deep sense of a man being intentional. He knows you're struggling to accept him but he still hangs in there. My dear, do not lose him, please, he's your man. If you do lose him, and he moves on with another lady, you might rue ignoring him eternally. I wish you well.

  • The problem is not love, but the kind of love people have. Most people love for the wrong reasons. The kind of love required for marriage is loving the person for who they are and not what they have or what they do. Most people enter relationships without loving the people for who they are. Knowledge and understanding are vital key's, but without genuine love there will no door to use these keys to open. I believe that before you marry someone, love them for who they are. If you love for any other reason, that love will fail. This is the reason why some people think that love is not required for marriage. True love never fails. If love fails and divorce occurs, the love is not true

    @dennisbaidoo5995@dennisbaidoo5995 Жыл бұрын
    • If God is love then people cannot love without God in them who is love. The Bible sayz love puts others first and seek no rewards for itself because it is content without repayment. But humans do all things for personal profit thus they cannot love. And so no matter how strong someone's feelings are for another person they always run weak and die because humans live by rewards n benefits. Thus love cannot keep marriage but knowledge can inspite not having love.

      @dennisbaidoo5995@dennisbaidoo5995 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kuunami "What they do" could mean their job/status in life. Also, actions don't necessarily mean the true intention. Don't you know that people will play the role to impress you but that's not their true self? It really takes commitment to the relationship...whatever comes with it.

Once the infatuation is gone, they realize that they wouldn't even want their spouse as a friend, let alone live being under the same roof with them.

    • @barbwireb7779 You don't just marry someone because of love. That is what the message is saying. Feelings are there but feelings change. You've obviously not been married or been in a long term relationship. Love isn't the Only thing to sustain a marriage if you don't know how to communicate, be selfless, know God's love and how to give love. Love is the fluff or the icing but loyalty, understanding, sacrifice etc are the foundation of a lasting marriage. Real love doesn't give up. You have to love You first but most of all learn how to receive God's love and understand who God is inorder to give it. Been there done that. Look at the divorce rate, and how many people marry for their version of "love". This man knows what he's talking about. Been there, done that. I'd rather be single. God's love is a thousand times better than any man/ woman in this world.

    • I will like to see the video. I absolutely agree that love is the result of Marriage not the cause or reason or basis of marriage. Actually the "Husband, love your wife" instruction makes people think love is an act, effort or work to be done....meanwhile if you search the scriptures deeply you will see that "when that which is perfect comes, you will do away with imperfect things."
