    @tejaswadekar@tejaswadekar Жыл бұрын
    • Hi Tejas, glad you found it helpful :) We explored by foot most of the time (for attractions that were in the nearby area) otherwise we used taxis too. We recommend using the Grab app. Other budget friendly options is the Songthaew - they're red open-aired trucks that are generally used by locals. It's a cheaper way of getting around compared to getting a taxi, so it entirely depends on your budget too! Hope that helps :)

  • Thanks for this. Would you recommend renting a car for the duration of a visit?

    @GrahamQ@GrahamQ10 ай бұрын
    • Hi Graham. It depends what you plan on doing in CM and how long you're planning on visiting. We were there for 2 weeks and managed to get around by taxi. I would also advise against driving in the city as it can be a bit chaotic, but if you're visiting places outside of the city where it's less busy, it'll be fine. Susie

    @mavluke3633@mavluke363310 ай бұрын
    • Hi there, I am not entirely sure what it's like to live in Chiang Mai as a retiree, but I can say that it's a great place to stay long term. It offers so many things to see and do, places to visit, with ample places to eat. The cost of living is extremely low, and you get a lot for your money there. We saw a few retired expats when we visited earlier this year, so based on that, I think it's definitely a place worth considering :) Susie

    • The best option is to use a taxi. Try Grab or Bolt (you'll need to download the app on your phone and set up an account). Grab is the most popular option. Bolt is also good, but it can sometimes be more difficult to find a driver, depending on where you want to go. Hope this helps.
