@@rhodesoakley9863 i know a guy in his 50ties still hanging on to high school group so the age is not the matter but the environment and the lessons needed to be learned with pre-adult group. Many ppl are mature by age but are still high schollers in all other sense😂. In Friends they all knew each other from high scool and way pass it, the group was loosing up by the time they reached adulthood, as my previous comment stated.

Chandler had major commitment issue but with the right person he found the happiness he deserved and so did phoebe. She finally got a family of her own
Both of them were brought up alone. Phoebe was orphaned early on: her father left the family, step father went to prison, mother committed suicide, grandmother never took responsibility, twin sister abandoned her.She was on the street, living in dumpsters or in cardboard boxes, along with other homeless people. Chandler on the other hand was brought up in luxury. However, his father was transsexual, mother was promiscuous, and both of them divorced on a thanksgiving dinner when he was 7. He became lonely as both parents neglected him and enjoyed their personal lives (his father did try to be present for him though). He hated his mother who is an erotic novelist and rarely keeps her boundaries. Chandler was so disappointed with his parents that he started smoking before touching puberty. In one of tge episodes he said, "kids by the time they reach 4 they have seen oral sex!"

I love how Mike deals with the whole name thing. It really shows how much he knows her and that he's perfect for her. He doesn't tell her how ridiculous it is, it would drive her away. He shows her on his behalf how dumb it is without causing a big fight.
they actually went to the registrar office to get the names done (separately) and when Mike went to do it Phoebe was all antsy in a cute way. He is truly is the only man who can fit in with her

Paul Rudd did the unthinkable - he came on the show as a guest role romantic interest, which many before him had done, and he clicked. He did leave the show for awhile, but I think one of the best things about the final seasons of Friends was bringing him back and having him and Phoebe end up together.
I know a lot of people wanted her to end up with Joey but personally I think that a relationship would have ruined their friendship, they were awesome as friends and they loved each other, I’m happy she ended up with Mike.
I know! & I love that Joey played such a significant role in her relationship with Mike. He’s the one who set them up. (poorly granted but still, the two would not have met if not for him.) and after that, he seemed the most out of all of them who seems the most invested in them, and the fact he said the wedding, I thought it was a very talented and perfect way the writer went about including him in there day.

Yeah, he choose his dog because it was his dog, that made him more real. If he had chosen any of the guys to be his best friend it would have been crazy, like "does Mike have no friends or family?". And he tried hanging out with Ross but they didn't have anything in common, and he thought Joey was crazy (I don't remember him dealing with Chandler) but it was cool how he didn't try to force his way into the group, he was just happy being Phoebe's boyfriend (then husband) and he had his own life going on.

when we all first started watching friends we knew hands down joey and phoebe would get together, but then mike came, we realized that joey and phoebe were always just great friends who loved and cared about each other. Mike and Phoebe were meant for each other from the minute we saw him.
Joey knew Ursula (her twin) and even had a relationship with her, and her first kiss on screen was with Joey. if anything he is the "Phoebe" of the guys, but not wonderfully weird but rather scared of everything and easily conned. It would kill any long term relationship as without the other 4 Friends to balance them it would actually be difficult. Mike came in directly into Phoebe's life and couldn't get enough of her and unlike Joey didn't need anyone else to keep his feet on the ground

When I first watched Friends I was really happy and you know laughed because this is a sitcom, but now when I'm more mature, I guess, I understand how hard actually was for Phoebe and I love her that she is an amazing person even if her past wasn't all pink instead of black. I really love how she made such amazing friends who she cares about so much and that she is with the love of her life. I am trully happy now that I got to see such amazing stories even if just in a show but inspiring others life for sure 💛
Phoebe look so breath-takingly beautiful & I'm so proud of her for standing up for what's most important to her, for not settling for being someone's live-in girlfriend. I'm really glad Mike loves her the way she is, didn't hurt her relationship with her friends (even when they, Gellars, stepped out of line), didnt put himself in a position to lose her (a 2nd time), knows how to talk sense in her (name change) without talking down to or embarassing her).

This is actually so sweet. They were right to break up the first time because it was clear they want different things and dragging along a relationship when both have made up their mind on a future will only create unhappiness and resentful. It was also right for Phoebe to reject the first proposal because if they do get married from there, Mike will always feel resentful for being "forced" into marriage while Phoebe will always question the sincerity of it. But they both also agreed that the just want to spent time together and decide to stay together, and if they change their mind... then sure...
