Hello everyone, I’m photographer Zhonghui
The camera records the traditional craftsman's hoof repairing techniques to benefit the animals and do good deeds.
The hoof repair master shovels the hoofs of large animals. It seems to be rough, but he has to be very careful, and he has to be familiar with their temperament, otherwise they are easily hurt.
This job requires strength, skills, experience, and is also a dirty job. If the hoof is not repaired, the hoof will crack, and then there will be parasites in it. In severe cases, the mule's hoof will rot like a moth, so it needs to be repaired.

    • 不是毛驢不聽話，是修蹄工具太簡陋，給驢子弄疼了。不知道這是義務修蹄還是收費？這些養殖戶如果在國外，一告一個準。有些癢驢子的真是禽獸不如啊，太遭罪了。

    • I bought a horse whose hooves were in this condition. It took 6 months of gently trimming away the excess growth because that white part that shows up is LIVE tissue. You only trim a small amount at a time, then use an antibiotic. That poor donkey was probably in agony after doing that. It needed to be done but not like that.

  • A knee to the gut doesn't win that donkey's trust in your care. I work with horses and donkeys and my first task is to get them to trust me not fear me. Once I get them to trust me they will let me work with them and hardly ever give me any attitude. I'm sure you wouldn't like to go to a doctor and have them kick your stomach before your exam.

    • @@grhauffe Not only Mexico but all the way down to South America including ather countries all over the world. They have no love for the poor animals, I seen videos in which they are killing dolphins to be sold in the market for food. It was very sad and depressing to see how the dolphins were crying asking an American for help while he was vacationing in that Country and he couldn't do anything to help or he will be arrested. That's why we need to stop buying their products here in the USA and concentrate on buying American made products only.

  • I'm not a hoof trimmer (Farrier?) so I don't know. It has to be done. It looked like he was pulling his blows, just letting the donkey know that kicking wasn't acceptable. They do look sheepish and relieved after the trimming but it must've been painful. You notice that the donkey didn't cry out.

    • Chinese concept of empathy for people and animals is very different. That doesn’t mean they don’t care. I tend to try and hold my judgement of different cultures, but it does offend my western sensitivities at times.

    • @@annaklijn7589 If you watch horses/donkeys in a field together they are quite violent to each other, kicking and biting to assert dominance and order. The guy doesn't want get kicked, so he communicates in a way the donkey can understand. If you notice the physical punishment is accompanied by verbal sounds, this is to help the donkey learn to respond to verbal sounds. They don't enjoy bashing the donkey - it's a waste of their energy.

    • ive seen other videos that dont show the donkeys being hit. in the other videos ive seen the other donkeys were alot more calm than this one was but i don't think kneeing the donkey was correct here however.
