    @DrumsTheWord@DrumsTheWord6 жыл бұрын
    • these sort of training should start in pre-school. You cannot train the mind & body the same way as you would after a certain age. The Spartans new it, and proved what early military education is worth. If you compare the British army to shit, it always seems better. If you were training from 3-4 years and up, today you could be a beast, able to cope with pressure and stress in the most critical situations. It's like football players. Sure, you can get a bunch of guys and train them to "play" football in a short period of time, and if you didn't know much about football, you would say they are okay. Imagine an army when today's special forces are just regular solders. That is how it would be, and better.

You're going to be cold wet and muddy all the time and all you're kit is going to be soaking wet. Sleeping in a wet sleeping back with soaking wet boots in freezing weather where you're just praying for daylight so you can move around and try and warm up. I cant imagine how hot they must've been by the end of it. Where they put up their harbour area was where we put ours. We were learning harbour drills and set our snap ambush exactly where theirs was. and that road you see them patrolling on we had to patrol pretty much 6 times a day to get to our training areas. it was definitely tiring, and stressful. but it was very fun.

    • @@ericcrazycarper8955 try researching the topic, instead of talking tosh. The Italians and Russians pioneered the use of military parachuting; in the 1930s the Russians exercises brigade+ scale drops. The Germans also had a paratroop force formed and in action before ours.

We formed ours when Churchill decided we should probably have some too. Know Ur stuff before mocking some chap who clearly knows his history!

  • Proper first day beasting, there to let you civvies know there are four battalions of the parachute regiment 1,2,3 and 4 reserve. There isn't a 7 parachute regiment they don't wear anything to do with parachute regiment. I still don't know why they are called 7 para when they are royal horse artillery. They wear a midget cap badge not a para reg one. I know they are airborne and they do the all arms P company. I am not saying nout about that I am saying they are not parachute regiment. As I say they do a sound job but surely the lads in 7 RHA must think wait a minute we are airborne artillery not para reg.
