Dude splurge on an SE (Student Edition). I may be biased but pick up a used Custom 24 on Reverb/Ebay for $400-500. I was shocked how goodvit was with a Custom 24 I bought a Torero which features a Floyd Rose, Ebony fretboard (NO inlays), binding on the body and fretboard, and is mated with an EMG 81/85 set of pickups, I got an aqua one used for $600! I had a 1980 Les Paul Deluxe which I couldn't bare to keep when I got an offer of $2000 for it. Honestly my 2010 Custom 24 and my Torero sounded 90% and 95% as good as my LP, different tonally but "as good overall", so my Black Beauty went bye-bye!
@@Axe_Slinger +1 for the SE recommendation! I sold an LTD Axxion and replaced it with a Holcomb SE - such a fantastic guitar! Strangely, nobody here in the comments (that I've seen) has mentioned the groundbreaking work of Michael Hedges, perhaps the most innovative acoustic guitar player of our times. Sadly passed and far too young. He played one of these and did it justice. Here is Michael in 1986 playing Because It's There. He was one of a kind performer, player and man. I had the pleasure of driving him from Chicago Area to Milwaukee for the Inaugural Fingerstyle Guitar Festival in 1986, I believe.
I had never of him. I just Googled him and read about his life. Very talented man.

I don't know jack about making Music, but I just Love those who do. I find the Art of making sound by any instrument is so fascinating. I'm always amazed when I see guitar or piano players sing and play a complicated instrument at the same time. My mind is ready to explode just thinking about it.
Exactly the same with me. It's like magic.
Get yourself an instrument. It doesn't necessarily need to be an expensive instrument. Anything that isn't a toy will do. Then invest a little time each week to learn to play it. Playing a musical instrument can be a very satisfying experience.
I've seen Harry Connick Jr. manage 4 different rhythms at the same time; but he's especially good at it. He was singing (the voice is an instrument) while seated at the piano playing boogie woogie (both hands) as he worked the pedals with one foot and another instrument (I forget which) with the other foot. Four different beats. Made me dizzy to watch.
Sounds like your mind is inviting you to explore this field. Even just tapping on a table and singing at the same time whatever comes through connects both hemispheres and you feel FREE. Expression of Heart and Soul is so liberating. Just get started, Frank :)
