Kraków was the official capital of Poland Krakow from 1038 until 1596. The Historic Centre of Kraków was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. "The Historic Centre of Kraków ... is one of the most outstanding examples of European urban planning, characterised by the harmonious development and accumulation of features representing all architectural styles from the early Romanesque to the Modernist periods."   • Thank you Milos...bringing memories from my visit there back in the 1990's.... Walking in to the catheral to see the architecture and, running straight into a church concert 😊 The salt mines and all the stairs down...so, so beautiful and, so more than welcome after a visit to the old kz-camp just outside the city which reminded me of the movie Schindlers List....and worse ..😪 If I ever visit again, I'll visit only the city and the stunning salt mines.... Thanks so much for sharing 🌹🌹🌹

Espérons que ça continuera ainsi et que toutes ces agréables terrasses de cafés accueilleront toujours les visiteurs heureux et fatigués sous leurs jolis parasols malgré les idées bizarres de nos dirigeants .   • It is a beautiful city with several universities, so a young vibrant place to be, particularly in the huge square on a summers day drinking coffee in one of the many cafés. I've visited twice, unfortunately on the first occasion, sitting in the square, outside with friends, I had fifty pounds stolen from my coat hanging over the back of my chair !
