Ambuluwawa Tower in Sri Lanka was not built by a king but rather by a team of individuals, including the Sri Lanka Navy and various organizations. It is not associated with a specific king, as it is a modern construction and a multi-religious center, rather than an ancient historical monument.Ambuluwawa Tower was constructed in the late 20th century and completed in 2005.
Even crazier are the fellows who carry little babies up there!

The roads are very steep in a way like the roads in the ring of Kerry, my grandparents used to live at the foot of the ambuluwawa mountain and as kids we used to hike up this mountain, my grandparents had so many crops like clove trees, avacado, guava tress etc, brings back so many memories and in the nights we can see the lights from the laxapana dam such beautiful memories
For sure 👌🏼 a lot more of an incline tho 😅 sound like great memories 😊

Yeah we’ve never seen anything like it either! It gets very tight 😅
In that case, you have that void spaces time to time. Those are built to let others pass while you are in the void and so. That is how it is designed. And yeah if they haven’t used rebars, probably thousands might have been dead by now😂 So dont worry.

Another cracking video. 50 years ago ,we used to buy Perera and Sons eclairs and savoury pies. They are so yummy. I think,having tasted french pastries,English pastries Perera and Sons are the best. I am biased.

I'm not afraid of heights, and I climbed up this tower once, I enjoyed the view and wouldn't dare to climb it ever again. At the time I visited this place was almost empty with no tourists and it was a very windy day. It was mentally and physically agonizing to squeeze your way through the stairs in the tight spots, and I thought I would die that day. The overall design of the tower is very sloppy and dangerous. They should've at least widened the steps so others could pass through. I hope they redesign the tower in a more people-friendly way. I am Sri Lankan and I love my country, but I think whoever designed this atrocity is a total psychopath, and should have not taken on this project. There's so much this country has to offer because this island is an absolute paradise on Earth. But Ambuluwawa tower is not one of them, this is a manmade disaster waiting to happen. Hike up the Adam's peak, now that's a more safe and rewarding experience. I love your videos! Enjoy the rest of your time here! ❤️🌈
