    • @@Leonidas-eu9bb pretty sure the comment was in reference to the point at which the fast times are ran. Im sure the faster times in general can be attributed to better technology, training and access to more advanced training for younger sprinters on top of just raw talent. Im sure theres more to it but thats just the obvious to me.

  • Nobody talks about it, but speaking from experience, it’s the shoe technology.

    @trossrunnin@trossrunnin15 күн бұрын
    • It has to be. I am from England. At 16 years old, I sprinted 100m in 11.4 seconds. Not exactly fast compared to these lads, but it set the county record at the time. I'm 42 now, and my body hasn't aged well (13 years in the Army and too much rugby) but with the new sprinting shoes from 2023, I was still able to finish 100m in 12.9 on track. I have looked after myself the best I can, I'm still strong and I have a lot of loading/launch potential in my legs so I get off the line fast, but I should see a bigger decrease in sprint speed after 26 years. Out of curiosity, I ran the 100m on a school field, grass, no sprinting spikes, just regular running trainers. My time was 16.1 seconds. I don't remember the gap being so significant from grass to track when I was a teenager -2 seconds at the very most? To my knowledge, track surfaces haven't changed that much; the amount of spring from the track feels similar (accounting for age and the resultant memory fatigue) and the grip was close enough to what I remembered that I couldn't tell the difference (with the same memory caveat as before) between them. I appreciate that diet and training are constantly being tweaked. New legal supplements (I hadn't even heard of Creatine back when I was young) are used, but I can't see how a legal supplement would give that sort of boost. So we could have one of, or a combination of these potential explanations: 1. An exotic, undetectable P.E.D. upis in use. 2. Sneaky spike technology similar to the long-distance shoes that caused so much controversy a few years ago. 3. Some of the sprinters could be lying about their age; it happens, no one should dismiss it because it is rare. 4. These lads are phenomenal athletes and sprinting is set to have its records shattered. I hope it is 4, I want to believe it is 4. But I will not close my mind to the other possibilities. However, being a phenomenal athlete should not necessarily lead to accusations, but questions must be asked for sport to remain fair and viable.

Now, I am close to 68, and still play basketball, a lot. 100% honestly, I am still quite fast. Oddly so. I have been looking for a senior track event, so I can smash whomever is there.

Lol Theres been Olympic finals that have barely cracked 10 sec in the past few decades, but now we have 17 and 18 yr olds dipping 10 on the track. 😨 Craziness.... I think it's simply because kids are peaking quicker, earlier then in the past. Meaning, Idk if an 18 yr old who runs 9.98 in HS.... will automatically be a 9.7 monster come their mid 20's.?🤔 In fact, that time might just be the fastest they'll ever run, or close to it. I think these HS kids are peaking physically much sooner. Certainly appears that way....

Second, this video and all due respect at times this whole channel confuses the taper of amateur athletes and pros. It’s April homie. I just assume you ran in college but ncaa athletes are deep into championship taper. Of course amateur including youth & ncaa are peaking. We’re in strap season for them. Noah isn’t running fast you just like to feature him and that’s fine but he’ll go faster than 10.. I hope atleast. Of the top pros he has a track history of putting out early banker quick times. Not to mention it’s a relatively newer event for him he’s working on. So again it makes sense he throws something fairly quick down earlier than other pros. But bro this happens every single year. Your citing ages is just a patterns not supported by volume of data in the four data points. Fact is, young amateur athletes lead the way obviously in April and may. To help illustrate this: how many diamond league events have there been so far in 2024? Literally one haha There ya go.

  • It's unbelievable that so many break 10 on a regular basis....not very long ago it happened only by a select few. Carl Lewis to me is still the best track and field athlete of all time... with his long Jump combined with his sprint success....but there are many races he wouldn't have placed in the top 4 . Although I think he probably would have rose to comp

  • i dont get it, why dont they all go all out at the end... between average and world record runs there are just few miliseconds and yet some of them just jog at the end like its casual, even doing PBs with jog at the end...
