Monster Lizard Hunts Kangaroo

2021 ж. 19 Қаң.

Perentie monitor lizard's prey includes young kangaroos, other small marsupials, snakes, bats, and rodents. Behind the facade of Australia’s dramatic scenery is a motley crew of silent assassins, con artists, gang members, and brutal brawlers, vying for supremacy amidst the harsh, dry and desolate Australian desert. Competition for resources is so fierce, it’s animal residents have developed some ingenious methods of survival.

    • Australia has no mammalian apex predators because of the Komodo dragon and Megalania( Megalania was a 7 meter long Komodo dragon that weighs around 1500 pounds). Komodo dragons and Megalania were to much for large terrestrial mammals to compete. The only large mammalian was Thilacoleo which was a arboreal marsupial that ambushed prey jumping from the trees. Dingoes didn’t exist until humans brought the here. Australia is the land of reptiles
