Great video. Question- What wheel frame, cockpit thing do you have? And how many inch’s does it support for tv stand if you can remember. I have 55 inch LG-4K. One day I will upgrade my GT omega for a solid cockpit for DD use. Currently a csl elite user. Thank you.

Same with the G Pro Wheel since they’re like almost the same in price. Only difference is the DD Pro Extreme has 4nm more than the G Pro Wheel. I’m a Logitech user and I’m definitely getting the G Pro Wheel as I hope that Logitech will make a wheel that will fit with GT7 well like this one ✌️!

I bought the QR2 cast aluminum on my GT DD 8 Nm wheel. BTW that looks like and is based on the "conibear" trap. They are solid. Not sure I would consider plastic, but the cast aluminum works great.
On the dd1 I can use the screen to display current output torque in nm and a few other motor specs, can that be pulled up with this screen on the rim?
Would u buy the base on its own and just go podium wheel? Like the World Series wheel.

I bought this item without doing Homework. The display on the wheel is just lit up with no MPH displayed. This is connected to the console of PS5. I know I don't have the options like being connect to the pc but no MPH and when I click the small button it goes into set up and i can't get back out of the set up screen. Is there something wrong with my wheel? or something else?

I ordered a DD+ with the ClubSport RS wheel (and QR2) a few days ago... I'm wondering if I should cancel my order and opt for the extreme bundle instead? Which wheel do you think is the better choice? I like the GT wheel's features, but the RS build quality seems to be better.
I have the RS it feels nice! The dd extreme has that cool oled display the rs doesn’t have that
Have not used a RS so can’t compare it directly, but definitely more features with the GT wheel. Build quality of the GT wheel isn’t “bad” per se, but it could be better.

OK, a few questions, please? I am on ps5 and just got my gt dd extreme bundle today. I substituted my GT DD PRO and mounted it to my ASR4. FIRST off, how do you change color on the 4 the circles around the rotary buttons to the playstation colors (red, green yellow and blue) on the gt extreme wheel please? SECOND: i put the ffb at the full 15Nm and it is a beast! i then changed wheels to a CS wheel with a premium QR2 and the feeling is the same, still a beast! But then I changed to the gt dd pro wheel (with a standard QR2) and its a BABY! all of the beast is gone! What is up with that? the extreme wheel has a qr2 lite and my gt dd pro wheel has been updated to a qr2 regular. I do not understand! help please! THIRD: Can the qr2 lite on the dd extreme wheel be substituted for a standard QR2? it should be better, no? I have one on my GT DDPRO wheel and I was thinking of swapping them. thank you
You can change the colors with the Fanalab software on PC.

Yes, you can use it with the Fanatec ClubSport Shifter which has 7 speeds in its H-pattern configuration.

Can you do a comparison review between the DD+ and DD1 for PS5 please. I don’t want to make the mistake of selling my DD1 for the DD+ if its not worth doing so. Thank you.
One of the biggest differences will be FullForce support, which the DD1 will never support. Only the ClubSport DD and DD+ bases will support the higher-frequency FullForce effects when they become available in games.
I would keep what I had until I see just how "great" the Full Force effects are and again as of now no one knows when these effects may hit the games. Right now your DD1 is still as good as these new products. Full Force may end up being one of those got to have things but again many times the next greatest thing "coming soon" ends up being very underwhelming or not living up to the hype. Also if these effects are a Fanatec only accessible in game feature the sim game studios may not be as inclined to add the additional code into their games, particularly games with a few years under their belt since they were introduced. In your position I would ride it out and see where things actually land.
with a wheelbase that expansive, this new PS wheel will not be sold separately!? I doubt it im pretty sure they will allow you to buy it with their new QR2 adapter.
No, this wheel from DD Extreme won’t be sold separately.
the GT X wont be sold separately (and also would not work on any other base).
I’m not very deep into sim racing gear (yet) but maybe someone here knows: does 15nm of torque on that circumference of the wheel match what a real one does?
Yes. There's a reason for the 15nm. There's a simracer out there who is a real gt3 driver for mercedes amg who said 15nm is about the torque in reality.

Logitech g pro has a lackluster eco system I upgraded from the Gt dd pro to Clubsport dd+ its a nice upgrade and improvement

@@richnick1911 definitely a great system it’s just needs a deeper and bigger selection, I have friends with it and they love it. I just received my Clubsport dd plus it’s a nice upgrade from the dd pro but until full force is available it’s good but not 1000.00 great upgrade

Thats a sony issue, sony controls that tightly. They require certain things, probably why this wheel is uglier than an edsel. Fanatec has some sexy wheels, if they were free to do this their way, im sure it would be prettier.

@@sin0suke honestly mate, if i were you, i would wait. I canceled my preorder on a dd plus. I ordered on oct 20, canceled in january. Long story, but i have a feeling there will be issues and you dont want to deal with an rma and fanatec lol
Good advice imo. If you really want to get it at least wait until you observe most, if not virtually all the negative posts about FANATEC's latest "short-comings" have ceased. Otherwise imo you kind of have no one to blame but yourself if anything goes sideways because you hastily & ignorantly pulled the trigger. @@smokinC5

Yeah, the wheel is not sold separately from the base. If you did manage to find one being sold by a third party, it should work with a QR2 adapter, but I can't say if the display or LEDs would operate as designed.

Where was this option 4 weeks ago as I was ordering the base model gt dd pro? No announcements, no option to even pre-order and wait! With all the other issues revolving about lost shipments and double-orders caused entirely by your lack of response or any meaningful customer support, you OWE me this wheel imfo, together with whatever adapters are necessary to use on my standard 8nm base (I have that turned down, no need for 15nm..). For real Fanatec, just as I'm cooling down from our last business ordeal, I hear about this? You really had to tear open the bandage to pour salt in this wound, didnt you? Thanks for the straight-forward and honest review btw. I dont mean for any of my frustration to be aimed at you at all.
Mate, this wheel isn’t that much of an upgrade. If you are happy with the 8nm (that’s a good DD), then you can spend the same money the ‘extreme’ wheel would cost you and get a much better one from Fanatec. Any of the Sparco or podium wheels will be better quality than this. I’d enjoy your DD Pro for a bit then maybe see what you fancy. I upgraded to the Sparco rally wheel and Clubsport universal hub and it’s amazing, well worth the money.
@Dung_Beetle1617 you make a great point. I'm finding the 8nm base perfectly adequate and rather than a new wheel to go with it, I added new Inverted Clubsport v3 Pedals from Fanatec and a 2nd hand Podium F1 v2x Wheel. Now if I could only drive...

Tough question. Each wheel has its own pros and cons. Until FullForce is released it's hard to compare the two directly. To be frank you can't really go wrong with either one, they are both really good wheels. It ultimately depends on what your priorities and needs are. It's a subject we'll probably explore in more detail in future videos once FullForce is released.
We have a Logitech G Pro, right now they will at least ship you a product. Do some research about Fanatec supply and shipping and warranty problems.
Don't buy this bundle guys, the wheelbase is way way better then the wheelrim. Like way better. Get the gt3 mclaren with the real qr2 alu or get the f1 bundle way better wheel and way better qr2. All these gt wheels have dome is cause problems. The way you can only use it with that base means another chip in the wheel itself and more issues. Dd+ has way less issues with other wheels then the gt wheel itself. Do yourself a favor get the high end base with a nice wheel instead lol. Also just know in most games you still have to choose dd pro as for this wheelbase. Its fine doesn't effect the forces or anything so all good. Idc about full force tbh it has so much detail already. Turn INT down and you get insane insane ffb like they put it at 11 out of the box unlike the dd pro at 6 you turn it down to 6 and its 2x the detail to me. Then you turn it down to 2 to 4 and it's insane ffb you feel it through your chassis in your rig. People just dont hdberstand settings yet. That setting was to reduce noise and forces that are more raw. Turn it down you get more of the games raw ffb. If more people knew this in reviews and stuff it would blow there minds. Just gotta unserstand fanatecs settings. This wheelbase has more detail and more constant force then my simagic alpha 15nm. Just don't get the wheel rim and you will love every single piece of it. Best wheel is still the v2.5x with the vibration in the actual rim itself. Also just so yall know this wasn't fanatecs idea for design this was all poly forcing them to do yet again this design with plastic becuase sony tax they want more profits. Its why fanatec offers the dd+ f1 bundle for your choice of quality. Fanatec stated themselves thwy wouldn't have designed the wheel that way. It's just like what sony did for thrusmaster. You have to listen to them or you don't get the support for console. Especially when it comes to gt7 poly wants it there way and that's all there is to it.
Honestly, nobody needs an even more expensive wheel/base than the DD Pro for PlayStation. We need something that’s _less_ expensive than those 700/800 EUR bundles. 🙄

Don't bother, Fanatec won't fulfill your order. I ordered a DD2 on November 21 - nearly 3 months ago. They haven't responded to any of my 5 or so emails and I don't even have a tracking number. They keep sending marketing emails though

8:59 this is not correct. EVERY PC game which is supported by FanaLab supports the ITM for years already.
I’d like to know how they came up with a price of £1300….for a console that costs £400, the ps6 will be out in the near future, what then, another £1200+ wheel…..so this wheel plus a pedal set, plus a frame and seat….£2500 setup for a £400 console…doesn’t make sense to me, and for a game that the developers have virtually given up on, minimal updates of fantasy cars that hardly anyone wants, and a weekly 5 races that you’ve already done only made worthy due to the credit reward.

It’s not a clever workaround that it works with Xbox with an Xbox wheel. It’s by design.

So is full force part of intelligent telemetry mode ? It's quite funny the only sim to have ITM is ACC on Gran Turismo wheel 😂 or have I misunderstood? It does look far better than the DD Pro wheel, especially with the paddles, the oled screen, bigger size and not as toy-like and I'm guessing "vegan" leather is the same as Faux Leather - not real ! Vegan 😂😂 what next meat eater wheel 😂😂
ITM and FullForce are separate features. It’s up to game developers to implement them. Fanatec tells us GT7 will get support for it soon.

The absolute worst customer service, customer relations and support. They lie about whats in stock and when and if it's shipped. Build quality is crap as well. Thats the new Fanatec company.
This wheel is absolutely not worth anyone’s money…yet. Too many question marks over what software and hardware is going to be properly utilised by GT7 and when. It’s a big shame this isn’t being done from the get go and really makes the launch of this fall flat from the off. Time will tell with that I guess, but providing it works, for people who really want the best wheel rig for GT7, this could be great. And at £1300 the build quality really ought to be faultless and I get the impression from this review that whilst it’s not bad, it certainly seems second rate in places. It’s up to the buyer themselves to determine whether this is worth overlooking or not. A better way to look at it in my opinion is a really good Fanatec base that can be used with whatever QR2 wheel you already have or want, packaged with what seems like a slightly frustratingly second rate wheel but with some really interesting hardware features that, hopefully, get fully utilised properly very soon. But like I said, it’s definitely not worth buying yet.
DD plus is not yet approved by Sony. Customer service is a nightmare. The wait for products can be months. Yet you have to pay upfront. Good luck shopping Fanatec

Nah the best wheel is my Fanatec BMW GT2 V1 with built in vibration motors and alcantara leather wrapped. In VR you can’t see it anyways.
Boy....youtubers been dropping these videos today lol. Almost like yall have had these cued up ready to go since december lol. Tell us, were all yall aware of this while fanatec was telling us they had shipping issues, then covid or whatever excuses, then licensing issues? Funny how this releases days after the preorder base only starts shipping...sucks to be a preorder bro lol.
Not their fault. If you want to be mad about it complain to Fanatec. These KZheadrs are under NDAs and it would be illegal for them to say anything about it before embargo as that would be considered a leak. Leave the KZheadrs alone. They do great work for us and you should be thankful.
@@dennisa7784 correct, they are not responsible for fanatec being scummy, but these youtubers are more influential marketing wise than fanatecs own marketing dept lol. Kireth is one of the few big names not endorsed by fanatec. The youtubers do a great thing, but we must remember, their priorities are with their contracts with fanatec, free stuff, and views which equal dollars. They are as much fanatec employees as the people building this stuff. I dont fault them, in fact, im quite envious. But i also dont give them a pass as innocent bystanders either.

It's not that they care more about Fanatec so they didn't tell us it's that it would be illegal for them to tell us. If they had told us they would have been sued and then no more videos for us, the viewer. In the long term we are what they care most about. They are not anywhere near being Fanatec employees. I have seen many reviewers say they are disappointed in the price, plastic QR, shipping delays, customer service, quality of this wheel being plastic, etc. a Fanatec employee would never say that
@@dennisa7784 to an extent you are correct, but you are also incorrect. These youtubers have links to the product, and they are paid a commission for you buying through them. Thats a fact. Yes they review these somewhat for us, but hundreds of thousands of dollars are paid in commissions on these things. This isnt just fanatec. I would urge you to watch kireths latest video, his intro sums it up perfectly. You need only watch the first 3 minutes.
The products were ready but Fanatec was waiting for Sony’s approval since the end of last year. The KZheadrs signed NDAs so they couldn’t just run around and talking sh*t. That’s how business works not just in SIM world but everywhere else. Sony finally approved the embargo has been lifted so everything is out. It’s not that complicated. Look at phone/car/bike/etc. releases they all work the same way.
