The matte mousse foundation was THE foundation in Britain! A staple. A NECESSITY. I'm also 25 and EVERY girl (including me) had cakey, orange faces that stopped at our jaw lines in comprehensive school! It did not cover our acne but we kept piling it on. Iconic.

I have the monochromatic blushlighter stick and it is very simple and low glam. When creating the product, Elf was targeting the natural girlies. The stick isn't made to be topped on foundation, bronzer, and concealer. I don't like the cake looks of makeup layers, so I use this stick and it works perfectly. Sooooo really the stick didn't reach the right audience and that's why it was lower on the list 👍

i really loved the elf cream blush for more of a glowy natural look before setting powder, i don’t think it works the best when theirs setting powder applied.

Makeup is all the same in a way. A lot of the high priced ones come from the same companies of makeup sold at the 99c store. Skincare is the secret to a good makeup application. The reason a lot of people end up not liking the way their makeup goes on is usually because of an imbalance in skin due to using the wrong skincare.

Dream Matte Mousse was my first ever foundation I used in 2007 when I was in my lateadolescence! I think the reason why it's not working for you is because it was made before the beauty blender was a known thing. We'd use cotton pads or brushes (some even used their fingers) to apply it. I mean it's mousse, not liquid so it has a different texture not suitable for beauty blenders.
