The Wall of Storms is phenomenal! One of the best sequels I’ve ever read :) I hope it ends up working for you too!
CORDELIA NAISMITH, MY LOVE!!! I'm so excited for the Vorkosigan buddy read!
I want to feel what you feel!! I am very excited as well 😊
I LOVE the Vorkosigan Saga! Almost done with a reread! I hope you love Cordelia! And Miles!
My favorite thing about the infernal devices series is the friendship between Will and Jem. As someone who prefers friendship over romance in stories it meant so much to me that Cassandra Clare wrote a friendship between two men that is filled with love and trust without it being 'romantic' but simply platonic.
Awesome that you like The Rain Wild Chronicles. Feel that people almost "hate" it because they think they are meant to.
I love the Vorkosigan books! My favourite within the series is Memory, but I tend to read the entire series at least once a year.
I love how Cassie Clare just took over your entire winter reading season, hahah. Honestly, that is the perfect escapism during dark and dreary days, we love the mess and drama! Anyway, SO pumped that you are diving into Wall of Storms, I really think you it will completely win you over (like it did me). Also, I read Velocity Weapon 2 years ago and had such a blast, it's exactly the type of character-focused, action-packed and twisty sci-fi that you love! I somehow never continued, but I think I may join you for a re-read and then finally stripe this ongoing series off my TBR! I am terrible at making reading plans, but I know for sure that I will be finishing The Chorus of Dragons series in May. After reading book 3 this month it has been taking me all my self restraint not to dive into book 4 immediately, THAT ENDING!!!! Ugh, I love this series and these messy characters so much! 🥺❤ Well, hope you have a great spring reading season, enjoy!! 🤩
Vorkosigan - basically Shards of Honor and Barrayar (read them together if you can - Barrayar picks up immediately after Shards and is a stronger book) follow Cordelia Naismith, who becomes a supporting character for the rest of the series.
Babe wake up! Angela posted the latest series TBR 🏃♀️
😂 you are the best!
For vintage space opera series, you might enjoy the Culture novels by Ian M. Banks - lots of big ideas and good writing.
💐 I’m hoping to start A Chorus of Dragons this Spring! Let’s hope it’ll happen. 😅
Rachel from Kalandai loves the Vorkosigan series by Bujold. She has done reviews you might want to check out. Great TBR!! 🌻
I read velocity weapon based on Tori’s rec . I enjoyed it and went on to finish the trilogy
Great video! 🌻 I'm in the middle of a couple of series that I want to try and finish. Frostheart, Pages & Co. & Adventures on trains & Garnet run for sure. The rest is bonus
Just a heads up that Shards of Honor is almost more of a romance/space story than full opera. I enjoyed it but forgot to continue on. It was a fun time though. I think it gets more space opera-y at the 3rd book. Always love your series check ins and congrats for making it through WoT!
I also want to read The Bone Shard Daughter. It sounds like it's a little out of my comfort zone, but i've heard great things
It was a promising debut so I am excited to explore more of the series!
This video really made me want to read, thank you for that❤️. I read the Rainwild Chronicle February to March when I did and to me it feels like a spring series (so maybe you're going to be fine)🥰. Really enjoyed Empire of Sand when I read it last year, especially the romance and the magic system❤️.
I want to finish Chain of Thorns before her new book comes out in...October? But I really have to be in the mood for The Drama. 😂 I'm still glad you generally enjoy your time w her books.🌷 It's not a series, but a big goal of mine this year is to read a T Kingfisher every month. 😅 This month it will be Good Bones (if the library has it available).
Velocity Weapon sounds super interesting, I just added it to my tbr 💐
Here is hoping we both enjoy it!
I’m so with you about the spring weather! Looking forward to sunshine and dog walks (with my audiobooks of course!). Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the April TBR. 🐑🌻🌸
Its been so nice not being as miserable outside, its wonderful!
Crossing my fingers you can get to all these but particularly Wall of Storms and Empire of Sand 🌸
I am so excited to FINALLY get to Wall of Storm
I’m so late to this, but I’m really excited for you to read Velocity Weapon!! It’s such a fun read, and I hope you enjoy it!
So far its been a hit in the discord and I have extreme fomo that I haven’t picked it up yet 😂
So my mother had me read the dragon keepers series first cause she thought I would connect more with the writing style. This was not true but it's still Hobb. They are not bad. I really liked the dragons. I have heard good things about the Megan okeefe series.
Jem and Will forever! I OWN Empire of Sand and need to read it too... maybe we can push each other to read it LOL
Hahah here's hoping 🤞🏼
I really enjoyed the Velocity Weapon series, I hope you do as well!
Hope I will have a similar experience to you!
WALL OF STORMS 🙌💐 but also ahhh i hope you do get a chance to get to empire of sand!!
TRULY both of those are on my tbr pile of shame at this point
EMPIRE OF SAAAAAAAND!!!!
ok wait i also have the bone shard daughter on my tbr! buddy read this spring?
🌼 Quite some overlap with my tastes here! I loved “Semiosis” (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) but haven’t read “Interference” yet. I also loved all of Megan E O’Keefe’s “The Protectorate” series (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️). I have been reading Lois McMaster Bujold for decades (they are pulpy fun, but the first books don’t introduce you to the MC!). And I am currently reading “The Bone Shard Daughter” as it happens.
Hoping that Bujold is my kind of a pulpy good time!
🌹
Just started a re-read of Reaper's Gale. Will love to hear your thoughts on it...Jarrod
🌷
For epic space opera you should try A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge. Really cool aliens, weird tech scenarios. I've only read this one myself, but there are two more books I believe.
Thanks for the recommendation!

🌻 I'd be interested to hear more about why your group didn't enjoy Empire of Silence. That's one I've only heard great things about until now.
I went into detail in my Feb Wrap Up why I dnf’d it if you do want those thoughts. But I was mainly bored and decided to cut my losses when people didn’t seem to be having a good time
@@LiteratureScienceAlliance Awesome, I'll check out that video, thanks!
🌼 🌸
So glad someone else hated Empire of Silence. Loathed that book. It takes a lot for me to "loathe" a book, too. A lot.
I wouldn't say I loathed it, but I did not find it very interesting so decided to cut my losses early haha

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
I love the Vorkosigan Saga. Loved it! So excited to hear your take.
I really hope its a win for me, cause then I have so many books to dive into!
I picked up the Velocity Weapon trilogy a while back for my massive wall of a tbr, it sounds interesting.💐
I actually know very little about what's going to be in it, but hoping for the best!
I really need to get round to Chain of Thorns, I just hope Clare doesn't do the thing she does in all of her finales haha Got The Faithless ready to read in April, pretty excited to see where it goes. I'm currently reading Wall of Storms, and I'm excited to hear your thoughts ! Im excited to get to Suri's other series as my love for her Jasmine Throne series makes me think itd be impossible for me to not love Empire of Sand.
What is the thing you dislike about all her finales??
@@LiteratureScienceAlliance I’ll reply on discord and put it in a spoilery tag
So interesting that people call The Burning Kingdoms YA! I feel like it doesn't really have YA tropes at all? But maybe anything with a younger female protagonist gets slotted in that category. Also, I'm very grateful that you finished Wheel of Time and gave me the heads up that it probably wouldn't change for me. That really helped in letting the series go, and now Sush & I have started on our Discworld readthrough, and it's just so joyful. 😁
For Jasmine Throne its not even people who have read it who call it YA, I think they just think its YA based on the cover?? And I have no sense what makes and adult vs YA cover but I think most people who have read it would agree its adult. Also so happy you guys are now onto a better readalong together!!

So excited for you to continue with the "Dandelion Dynasty", my favorite Fantasy series so far.
I am excited too!
📚🌺🌷
🌷🌸🌿
One day I’m going to be in the middle of as many series you are lol I was going to pick up the sequel to The Unbroken but I’ll probably pass if it’s more of the same. I cannot wait to get into the dandelion dynasty books one day!
Yea like the focus is different but if your issues were writing, or character work related I think that stayed pretty consistent in this one (as in I still love it but I don't think it would convince people who didn't that this was way better you know?)
I read the protectorate trilogy at the beginning of the year and fell in love with it! I hope you all enjoy it.
Hoping I will also love it!

First! ❤

I need to update on series but it's all itty bitty things started and nothing really finished. I must finish dandelion...
It was odd seeing how many I finished this round, it is rarely that successful but I was marathoning a lot of things 😅
