  • When our boys started sharing a room we left some quiet toys/books out side the room for when the older one woke up before the younger one. We told him to just quietly leave the room and go play with the toys (magnet tiles, blocks, stacking toys, bead/thread etc). And he never really disrupted his little brothers sleep. Hope that helps :)

  • I remember how magical Jace’s first birthday party was that you DIY’d. I was just amazed at how beautiful it turned out. I thought, man this kiddo is so incredibly blessed to have such an awesome mama. It blows my mind that he’s turning 4 already. 🤯

  • So good! Good for you for just going for it! I have two kiddos almost 14 months apart, and we moved them into the same room at around 22 months and 10 months. It went surprisingly well, and now even if one wakes in the night and cries they rarely disturb the other one. They nap together now. It's been a great change!

  • My 3 and almost 2 year old have been sharing a room for the past 5-6 months. My oldest sleeps in a queen bed that I had in that room for guests and my youngest sleeps in a crib on the other side of the room. They do really well together and I have a light that turns red at 8pm and switches to green at 8am. They know that when the light is red they have to stay laying on their pillows and be quiet. Naptime is the same way from 1-3 and they do really well with that as well. My son sometimes doesn’t take a nap or doesn’t sleep as long as his sister but he still has to lay quietly in bed until the light turns green at 3. Sometimes they don’t get up right when the light turns green and keep sleeping but they know as long as the light is red and the sound is on, they have to stay in their beds. If one of them wakes up before the other, they surprisingly don’t wake each other up. So that’s nice! But I really love the light I got! It helps so much for teaching my kids to not wake up too early and we are all so much happier when we get good rest!!

It has been just a bit challenging but day by day they more and more used to it. My 2 year old better then my 3 year old, she still wants to sleep in our room 🙄 lol I love that you have your kids on a solid routine, something i need to start getting better at! You're amazing Nicole, keep up the great work. And also i dont mind that you upload less cause like someone else said "its like a treat!" Have an amazing day, cant wait for next vlog. Take care!

  • Nicole, you are doing a great job with the room transitioning. As for the smell in the house , the creature could just be in the wall. Unfortunately you will just have to let the smell be , it will eventually just go away. We live in a NYC apartment and sometimes we get those smells as well, and it turns out their in the walls :\ because we never find anything around our apartment.

  • My son is 3 months and his naps have been 50 minutes naps! He puts himself asleep and we follow, eat, play sleep routine. He used to take longer naps so idk is he's going through a regression or what. Nights are great though. I usually give him a DF from 10:30-11pm and feed him again around 4-5pm. Many nights he is still sleeping at around that time but I woke up full so I would rather nurse than pump.. I'm also a little worried about my milk supply.. since I'm only 3 months in and he's been sleeping through the night since he was a few weeks old! Any recommendations for the naps?

    @lyudak16@lyudak168 ай бұрын
    • 50 minutes naps are normal if that helps. Usually contacts naps can help lengthen naps.

  • Hey there first time mommy here. Just wondering if moving him at 3 months is the best? No hate just curious, it seems a bit too young considering they don’t have object permanence yet. If you could explain for me I would appreciate it.

    • I use the Moms on Call book and their methods, written by two pediatric nurses and they actually suggest to keep baby in a crib in their own room from the start so I waited longer than than the book says just because i went off how i feel. But they say babies rest better when they're "out of the kitchen of their fave restaurant" lol In terms of object perm and how that affects sleep, i havent researched that, sorry! but congrats on becoming a mama! trust your instincts!

      @Nicolelelagreen@Nicolelelagreen8 ай бұрын
    • It honestly varies from kid to kid. Some babies sleep better away from parents but others still keep waking up. Plus wakeups are very normal. There are just some kids that are soothers vs signalers.
