  • Just went to his concert last night and my appreciation for him has multiplies times 1000. A 29 song set and singing amazing the whole time, doesn’t tune his mic, doesn’t sing over the actual recorded vocals, just his raw voice and the performance and show was a beautiful work of art

    • Historically he’s had 10 Grammy noms and 3 wins. Along with countless other awards and noms. He should have won at least record of the year with Blinding Lights - it was the biggest selling song of the year. But yeah, the Grammy’s suck.

  • Your commend on how the weeknd pays so much attention to how things appear on camera is SO, SO correct. I noticed just how controlled and intentional the Super Bowl performance with the camera work was and was like, "yo this is something different, I need to take a relook at this guy"

  • To say his music is music is an insult ... it's an art, he's one of the rare few that can achieve this. I agree with you, everything is thought out ... he chooses producers that compliment his sound/style. Heavy bass that goes with his vibratos. He can make a song of just ad libs and it would sound amazing, i don't necessarily think he is the best "singer" but i think as a whole he is pretty much on another level, thats what makes him special and my personal favorite artist.

It just came up in my feed one day and my breath was totally taken away at what I heard. I think I felt a completely new emotion that day. These 2 vocalists took this song to a whole new level.
