Revived by God’s Word LORD, how great is your mercy; let me be revived by following your regulations. -Psalm 119:156- As Christians, we are either progressing or regressing. We are either going forward or going backward. The moment we stop our forward momentum is the moment we begin our backward regression. It’s the moment we start going in the wrong direction spiritually. Of course, we all have those times as believers when we stumble, when we trip up. There are times when we make the wrong decisions or think the wrong thoughts. When this happens, we need to repent, of course. But we also need revival and refreshment in our spiritual lives. And there’s refreshing power in the Word of God. The psalmist David wrote, “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple” -Psalm 19:7- If we want to be growing Christians, then we need to be Bible-studying Christians. We want to build our lives on Christ and His Word. At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gave this summary statement: “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock” -Matthew 7:24-25- Every life will be tested. Every one of us will face storms as followers of Jesus. So, let’s make sure that we build on the right foundation, which is a relationship with Jesus Christ. But we must also study the Word of God. As we read, study, memorize, and dig into the Bible, it will refresh us spiritually. Don’t build your Christian life on experience. Don’t build it on fickle emotions. Rather, build your life on Jesus Christ and God’s Word..

Mena has ridiculous reaction times. He was consistently getting fireball sweeps with his Blanca on Tokido before Tokido adjusted distance. But Tokido still ate like 4 of them before learning. Mena also played great throwing mind games. Tokido is actually a pretty good throw tech, but he looked terrible in this match at it. Cheers to Mena. This was one of my favorite matches this Evo. Tokido capitalizes on every hit confirm as one would expect. Credit to him in this match, as he forced openings where there seemingly weren't any and made it a close match. And beyond winning or losing, I really think Tokido enjoys the stage and competition in general, even if he loses.

A lot of the matches at the top 6 befallens to 1 mistake or 1 lucky hit, this top 6 requires the mind to be completely cool. Pro tip, Mena's Blanka, you don't look for combo's, just only need to hit here and there to stop his Blanka from advancing and you can see Mena's playstyle he comes after you. The more you put in the effort, the more Mena will find a small window of opening. Just hit, no combo's.

Look, Tokido is a fighting game god. No questions about that. Watching him play, I feel he is too textbook perfect, in the sense of everything he does is so controlled and measured, e.g. he finds a little crack and extracts maximum damage from it. However, sometimes I feel there is not enough “surprises” in his game, e.g. a high-risk move or an unexpected set up. Playing Ken throughout the entire 5 games, he did ONE running all-you-can and landed that to end a game. All other all-you-cans are hit after punches or kicks set ups. This of course guarantees an all-you-can will land, but on the other hand, your opponent also knows what to look for or guard against. I feel like a couple of late game moments where things could go either way, Tokido was too careful and measured and didn’t take enough risks. Now, MenaRD is super good so whatever Tokido threw at him may not make a difference to the end result. But it’s a fighting game, you gotta take some risks and make some crazy unexpected moves sometimes to surprise your opponent.

It felt like Tokido was learning the Blanka match up as he was play against Mena. It's actually such an advantage for MenaRD that there aren't many high level Blankas but tons of high level Kens to play against. Props to Mena, though. He's been consistently dominating. I'm looking forward to what new characters people gravitate towards as the game progresses.

Its a video game. Plus, fighting games are all about combos these days. All these "competitions" are is 2 gen zer chuds looking for combos. Where can I hit the big one, what combo is he gonna use, where can I counter it, here, here, here!!! I miss Street Fighter 2. You could use multiple styles to win. Like rushdown, zoning, footsies, turtling, counters. Sad times now.

Mucho saludos y felicidades.

Yeah.. wait till Akuma is out. I am pretty sure SF will release him in the future.
he is the last DLC character for season 1

That's was beautiful good fight az always frm these too 👏👏👏👏
Mens doing it big 🇩🇴♥️
It amazes me to see menard's total control, taking everything with him even when he loses. He has destroyed tokido's dreams
Man I love EVO so much.
"What a handsome fellow" *silence...*
Tokido almost got it, but he didn't lab Blanka so deep, he would have known. Kakeru was the revelation, he sent Mena to losers.😊
Tokido switched to ken not too long ago after all. He dropped lots of combos as well.
He should had done Lv3 instead of DI at 16:41. Great sets. I'm sure tokido will grab a couple trophies in SF6 in the future
I was thinking the same thing, he actually pulled that level 3 off a few rounds earlier, stopped Blanka in his tracks, and won da match. Not sure what he was thinking there. Heat of the moment got da best of him.
Mis respetos con RD 🎉🎉🎉
God that final clutch from mena wtf
“IT IS STOLEN IT IS STOLEN” this is why I love yipes 😂
Almost all of the last few matches went 3-2. Lots of close calls ans clutch moments
Não esperava nada do tokido nessa evo. Perdeu todas as partidas online que eu assisti, mudou para Ken a um ou 2 meses atrás e mesmo assim conseguiu um top quatro.
great match
Buena partida muchachos... épico
The sit down and shut up with the crow screaming is awesome
That peripheral vision
Arriba RD ❤
The stare just so awesome
THE MURDERFACE🔥🔥🔥
This the first time that I was just rooting for every player. Weird feeling
this was the actual finals
Top!
As Dominicans, we are really proud of this guy
Awesome match, weird to see both Tokido and Daigo main Ken tho.
Menas too good.
Damage is really high this version and pressure is really strong. It's easy to slip on a banana peel and eat 82%.
It's really cool to see the best of the best sweat under the spotlight. Mistakes were made but it's understandable given the context and it makes the outcome more dynamic and fun
You shoulda been there beating menas ass man
Los mejores😊
"All-you-can" 🤣
It felt like Tokido was learning the Blanka match up as he was play against Mena. It's actually such an advantage for MenaRD that there aren't many high level Blankas but tons of high level Kens to play against. Props to Mena, though. He's been consistently dominating. I'm looking forward to what new characters people gravitate towards as the game progresses.
Yeah but why ain't there that many blankas players? Maybe is not as easy as it looks.😊
Menards is pretty dope.
cara.... que nivel........
Top 🇧🇷sou fã 🇧🇷
Tienes mucha sed de lo nervios el japonés 😢
Can anyone let me know what to do to get entry into these tournaments please, I would like to get my son entered into them, he's absolutely crazy about fighting games like street fighter & tekken.
Wow 😮
Mena eating good as always.
Menard have come along way since the sfv era. I think he earn his title as one of the top sf player. no more disrespect
I dont think with those games sf5 and sf6 you can name someone top player
@Vectorman2X those are the games that the tournaments are based on right now. You go beat him then. He's beating top players wtf makes him a top player then? He's been a champion twice.
Pero el chino o coreano está sediento de lo nervios 😢😮
16:55 I love the bow that Mena does, like "it's an honor to play you " in a cute 'I think Japanese culture is about this' sorta way lol. Even Tokido felt humbled, and then they hug it out.
Mena's been to Japan. He knows there's a lot of bowing over there lol
Can someone explain what happened at the end
I love blanka's install super. Its looks so hype.
everytime i see Tokido hes getting younger
Tokido never fails to entertain Sf fights
He has to because it’s in his contract
I can say without a doubt that Tokido lost because he didn’t measure the distance between himself and the monitor
惜しい…
If he did beat Menard n went on to beat Angry Bird if would have been Evo 2017 again 😅
Mi respetos🎉 😮 señor blanca waooooo excelente 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
GGs. Blanka’s parry wtf 😂😭🤣
Menard aplicándola 🎉
Its a video game. Plus, fighting games are all about combos these days. All these "competitions" are is 2 gen zer chuds looking for combos. Where can I hit the big one, what combo is he gonna use, where can I counter it, here, here, here!!! I miss Street Fighter 2. You could use multiple styles to win. Like rushdown, zoning, footsies, turtling, counters. Sad times now.
👏🏽🇩🇴
He can’t run a block but sure can play a video game!
16:32 ここでキャンセルSA3出せてたら勝ってたのにな・・・ ミスが痛すぎた
12:55 EVO!
When we going godsmode with the 4d hologram
Mucho saludos y felicidades.
