One can probably do this much faster than in the video. He seems to be explaining things not cranking out as many belts as possible. Also a lot of speed could be obtained if the first couple of round were handloaded.

What is neat about this is it is something to give your son to do so he has his mind busy and then has the pay off and semi regretful when firing, all of a sudden rounds are more precious when you worked for the money to buy em and then spent a week preparing for the weekend

Some of the belt loaders were modified for .308 used by the Israeli military. To load 30-06 you need a different feed pin in the loader. Also it helps to soak these belts in transmission fluid and allow to drip dry a bit before loading. Provides lubrication to the loader and the firearm feed system. Also keeps water out of the belts so they will not rot out.

This a cheap copy of a real 1918 Browning loader. The real loader is crank actuated, not lever and uses needles to open the belt pocket, not a single pin. They work much better

Now i can say to you "it would've been faster if you loaded them by hand" But I think there are bigger issues to discuss right now. What kind of fashion is this with you children wearing those belts and whatnot.When I was a youngster I wore leather sometimes with some decoration. See I had that one belt and on the front there was a winchester shotgun. It was cool I was the cowboy of the neighborhood. But you here just take it quite far but I guess its just how fashion goes. Sometimes you have to take the risk...
